- Why Joy & Anxiety Team Up After Riley's Anxiety Attack in Inside Out 2? One of the major emotional moments in Inside Out 2 occurs during Riley's anxiety attack towards the end of the film, which forces Joy, Anxiety, and the other emotions to work together to help her. With Anxiety taking the lead at Headquarters, Riley starts to experience a panic attack. Inside her mind, we see Anxiety struggling to keep control of the console, even shedding tears silently as Joy realizes she's not the one steering the ship. It's a significant moment for both Joy and Anxiety, showing a brief moment of understanding before the anxiety attack escalates further. I love how they captured exactly how a panic attack feels! It feels like anxiety is controlling you and you can't calm down! Me and Riley had so much in common that my dad said this is a movie about me lol
Oh my God, I thought it was so perfect anxiety and panic attacks and I have moments where my anxiety runs the show. thought it was perfect. and I’m glad at the end. They didn’t get rid of anxiety. They just all learn how to work with anxiety and how to keep it at bay.
I know this pain all too well. I literally have to take meds to keep from having anxiety attacks every single day. It's a terrible feeling and this representation is so spot on its frightening. This is EXACTLY what it feels like having an anxiety attack and when I saw this scene I actually started to cry. Bc I know exactly what Riley is going through. Worst thing is, sometimes Anxiety attacks can be triggered literally for no reason. There are times I'll be having a wonderful day then all of a sudden, it just hits me like a freight train.

That's a panic attack not an anxiety attack, she is clinching her chest like she's having a heart attack. I know from experience, a panic attack feels like you are having a heart attack, an anxiety attack feels like your brain could explode. 😂😂😂
Funny enough Panic attacks can come on with little to zero anxiety, my last two panic attacks came on when I was having the best day of my life, it's like a defective flight or fight response and is not always triggered by anxiety but can just be triggered by stress, anxiety is a stressor that definitely triggers a panic attack though it not always a trigger.
I'm a weird teenager i've NEVER gotten anxiety or anything like that i just get so shocked i don't care about anything and even start laughing like a dang psycho like if i don't give a fluff of what's about to happen to me
As someone with Anxiety and panic disorder, this makes no effin' sense! Anxiety is the name of a mental health condition not an emotion! When I have an Anxiety or panic attack my emotions are fear and dread! I think Fear should have turned into anxiety by losing control and trying to take over, that would have made more sense to me! Anxiety is my FEARs getting out of control, the emotional state is fear especially in panic disorder.

Yep i actually cried because i had powerful panic attacks that lasted hours, my second anxiety attack in my life was absolutely terryfying
I don't even remember most of it but i was afraid of absolutely everyone and everything and i got out in the street just with my phone and a bottle of water, hyperventilating and crying in silence. My grandma tried to check on me but i fled bc i was too scared of everything to think. I just fled everything without understanding a single thing. For hours. in the night.
Today i have far less anxiety attacks but that panic attack was the moment my life couldn't be happy anymore.

I love this movie so much. I love the new characters. I love the new Emotions. I love the new Spots in the mind, that Joy, Sadness, Discuss, Anger, and Fear all explore.
However, I really hate the very end of the movie and the reason being is because it never tells us whether or not she got the 3 scores or not and if she didn’t get the 3 scores that would mean that 15% of the movie was made for nothing which would be very disappointing so actually I really hope they make an inside out 3 to explain the ending of inside out 2 that is probably the only way that Disney could save this movie

anxiety isn't the enemy or villain of the whole movie, even the other emotions, i know but like...joy was like a villain-like (controlling) in the inside out 1 and learned to accept the emotions, its like replacing joy with anxiety on the first movie but anxiety is more controlling and riley would be more competitive and serious about it
