Tired of Bothering Your Prospects? 2017- Episode 40

  • A common emotion for people inside Network Marketing is that you feel like you’re bothering people. Well, if you are worried about that, then I have some advice for you.
    1. Focus on the prospect and their needs, not your needs.
Don’t focus on you and your need to prospect and recruit. Instead, focus on the value you are bringing your prospect. If it’s all about you, on your need to recruit or sale, that will transfer to your prospects. They’ll feel it’s all about you and not about them, and they won’t be very resp
    2. Get behind your product/service, and understand it’s a gift.
If you are worried about bothering people, that tells me you have a limiting belief about your product or service. If you truly believe that your product or service will help people solve a need, then you won’t be bothering anyone. You are educating the consumer that doesn’t know you have a solution to meet their need. So, understand that your product or service is a gift, and it’s your mission to help fulfill a need.
    3. Firmly believe that Network Marketing is a better way.
Again, if you are worried about bothering people with your opportunity, then you don’t firmly believe that Network Marketing is the best option for those with an entrepreneurial bone in their body. Get clear on the value and opportunity inside Network Marketing. Do that, and now you’re not bothering them, but presenting them with an opportunity.
Most people view prospecting as an opportunity for them. They think, “I’m going to go prospect because that’s an opportunity for me to build my team.” But your goal should be to not bother or get something for you, but to educate your prospects on an opportunity as a potential option for them to live a better life. Once you get solid with that, you won’t feel like you’re bothering others anymore.
So, get away from your needs and to your prospects needs. They will feel your certainty, compassion, and excitement for Network Marketing. Get prospecting off of you, it’s not about your expectations. It’s about appreciation and sharing it with other people. You are not here to bother. You are here to bring a gift.

Completely agree (man I wish I could have known about your videos when I first started network marketing years ago). A few months ago I was having a hard time because I was so worried about "bugging people" and then I realized, the times I NEVER feel like I'm bothering my prospects is when I give them something valuable. The only time I feel like I'm bugging them is when I haven't followed up in a long time, and I'm embarrassed because I know I haven't delivered any value, so I don't feel like I deserve their time. The way to make sure I'm not embarrassed to contact them again is to send them a blog post or article or something that's of value to them (and not even expect anything back). Every person can come up with a list of about 10 different valuable emails they can send to prospects, and save them as templates, to deliver value about their product. I just do not feel salesy or embarrassed or bad in any way when I send these types of emails! Sending these kinds of messages sets a much better tone for you to be able to call them in the future, because they see you as someone who's just been giving them value, and not someone who's trying to GET something). In addition, you can send the person a text message to let them know that you just sent an email to them, to make sure they got it, and make sure your emails didn't go into their spam folder. They are even more likely to see it and give you some kind of update on how they're doing. Even if you don't get a response, you feel good knowing that you just gave them a gift, without needing anything in return! Thanks again for your videos Eric! These definitely help to keep me motivated.

If you think you are bothering people, you are! I have this great product that every needs and once they try it, they are bothering me. I don't do this for the money. I do this because I love to help people. To me there is no greater satisfaction in life then helping people. I love to hear people say "I longer have back pain, my shoulder feels great, I have more energy, my blood sugar is lower, I don't have any more migraines, I feel young again...." It lifts me up to hear this people. I have a great product and a great company AND I DON'T MINE BEING BOTHERED...iGalen

Yet another superb tip on how to not make it look like I'm only talking about products and/or opportunity for my benefit. Still in the warm up phase so struggling with the fear of rejection and social acceptance but it's coming. Thanks for your mentoring!

The issue I have is that when your circle don't support your opportunity and don't even want to refer you to others makes things so much harder!

If your circle doesn't support you, move to another category. Create rapport with even strangers and with the right skills, you will get the right people to work with.

Network marketing means to join the people with our old and new friends. sometimes new concept come to the mind also necessary to give them to know what new if it is old I aware it and if it is new that people can know what new. to understand them what new to us so it can continue to relate to people and indirectly the relationship with the network marketing is automatically joining with personal relation So thank you very much to join with all of you sometimes I cannot directly be connected with all old friends but I always remember them. so don't mind that I forget them. I always feel your support. direct or indirect. So Thanks to all.

My first effort with Amway had me suffering this. But I eventually realised that until I fully believed in the business, I couldn't portray that to my prospects. Result? I had no posture. But once you know that you know, that you know.....Once you sellout to your business, the posture just comes.
