Basically, REI is a large company, and she wanted to be more nimble with content and the rules bout what she can say and do (they took too long to adjust / answer questions) and interacting with the audience. She basically told them she wanted to do it on her own and they gave her full support. The support being no crazy trademarks, no non-compete, nothing negative at all. I found your channel when you were reviewing bike stuff and I immediately recognized where you lived on the east side of lake Washington. I lived there for 5 years during grad school and it made me miss being there so much! So, Ive been following since then.

Your channel makes the outside a beautiful, silly, and wonderful place to be. Not to mention, I would’ve never known about water filtration and using the bathroom in the wild without you! Miranda - I lived in Sequim for a number of years but didn't take many opportunities to experience what I had there. I bought an E-bike and I'm planning several cycle camping trips. Your video on the Olympic Peninsula is one of my routes planned for this summer, which is how I stumbled across your channel. Thank you for what you are doing. I need to hit the trails for the alone time.

Huge thank you to this team of people bringing us such inspiring content. Overjoyed for your next adventure! We will be there every step of the way
I’m planning to start about 20 miles south in the Inyo National Forest (Horseshoe Meadow), it adds a little extra mileage but far easier to get permits! They’re released 6 months in advance of your start date, I think at 7am PT. It allows you to do Mt Whitney on day 3 or 4, and leave your gear at a base camp too. Good luck

Best of luck with new adventure. I started my adventures in the out of doors in Washington. So many great places to see and explore. Forty-seven years ago I moved to Oregon. The adventure has continues. Today living in a log home in the Central Oregon Cascades life is good. Snowshoe, nordic ski, and snowmobile from my home during the winter. Summer Mt biking and hiking again from my home. We travel to eastern and south eastern Oregon for very remote adventures.
I'm going camping in February for my birthday, I grew up in the mountains and that's my home. My mental health got the best of me for years and you've helped me more than you know. You're so awesome, and I love that you're going to keep going. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤🙂

Best of luck with new adventure. I started my adventures in the out of doors in Washington. So many great places to see and explore. Forty-seven years ago I moved to Oregon. The adventure has continues. Today living in a log home in the Central Oregon Cascades life is good. Snowshoe, nordic ski, and snowmobile from my home during the winter. Summer Mt biking and hiking again from my home. We travel to eastern and south eastern Oregon for very remote adventures.
