Thank you for addressing the “fan” issue as you did. I think it’s a good reminder not to close yourself off in any box. I’m only 8 months into the Dan Vasc rabbit hole and I absolutely love all of the styles of music he does . - I had lost my need for music for a long time and Dan’s Amazing Grace grabbed my attention and got me listening again- his vocals are captivating and got me listening to more music across the board. I’m back to turning on the radio in the car again and enjoying music. 😊

I have both seen and heard both. He is truly amazing with an insane vocal range! 😍 I pay no attention to the sparky re.arks of others. I like what I like. And I love listening to Dan's performances. You can see in his eyes, he is in his happiest of places, when performing. My son has a heavy metal band and I have listened to metal music for many years.

Dan has a video from when he started as an artist going back to when he was in his very early twenties and he leaves that video up as a way for him to be humble about his beginning in this type of industry. It's usually fun to watch people react to the surprises in this song & you were no exception. I know that sudden transition made me jump & laugh the first time. Loved your explanation about the transition from his gutteral gravel voice to his clear vocals. He pours so much raw emotion of hurt, betrayal, sadness, & seething rage into that song. The way he leans back into that final high note for full power. Wow! Dan's theatrical elements never disappoint either. He went so far in that video as to attempt to capture the Witcher look by using colored contacts. However, as he explained in the description, the darkness of his natural eyes made him look more like a Twilight character. Lol.
Honest reactions (especially from those trained) would actually be preferred even by Dan over "Yes men" comments. Dan is known for being a fan of Dr. Jordan Peterson and he favors constructive criticism for personal growth rather than receiving unearned or insincere accolades. He's humble, real, & honest, which only makes him more endearing to most of us. Dan actually addressed some of the scary fanatics last year, even calling out a Facebook page set up as a Dan Vasc fan page, which had consisted of many of the mentally unsound, almost stalker types. He went so far as to say he did not endorse that page in any way because of the craziness found on it, so he advised his sane fans to avoid it. Thank you for being an honest reactor.
Subscribed for your honest reactions- if reactors aren't honest then it is a waste of both of our time. Dan said on a podcast that fanatical fans are the worst part of his music career and wasn't something he ever thought about before. He even had a woman find out where he lived and moved thousands of miles to live in his street!!😮

I love all types of music from Chopin and Bach to big bands of the 30s and 40s... rock and roll of the 50s (Elvis) some stuff from the 60s and 70s Lots from the 80s... Jazz the Blues... heavy metal... lol yep that is me.

He was the lead singer for Orion's Reign, through session work, a few years ago and his powerful vocals are easily recognised. He also composes. I do agree with your comments after Dan's video. I read a comment the other day of someone who doesn't listen to anyone but Dan. I thought you are missing so much good music. Because of Dan's Amazing Grace popping up on my Google I have rediscovered many of the singers/groups I grew up with ( I am in my 70s ) and so many new artists and all of Dan's music. Because of his video I am reliving some great memories while I still remember them🤣 and making new memories.🥰🇨🇦
Dan is the vocal equivalent of a Swiss army knife. He's incredibly versatile! You can never be quite sure what he will do, but you can be sure it will be amazing!
Dan doesn't believe in "born given" talent. He has worked hard his whole life to improve and strengthen his voice. That's why he makes no mistakes with his vocal technique. He knows exactly what technique to use so he doesn't strain his voice. He has several years of classical training and he also worked as a voice coach for several years.
His covers are always carefully arranged and well thought out because he's The perfectionist!

Thank you for the great reaction.. I lost my love for music after my younger Sister passed in 2021.. I inherited her music collection to add to mine..in my 70's so covers 8 decades of music, vinyl and upwards from '50's to now. Started listening to Dan's covers about a year ago now.. not found a poor cover and I have a lot of the originals in my collection believe me.. my love of music returned this January after 3rd anniversary of my Sister.. I'm a metal head, 2 new Tattoos Hold onto Memories (Disturbed) and Gloria Perpetua (Rhapsody)..So through Dan that huge hole in my life has been filled, my Sister and I attended concerts all the time, even talked in lines from songs from time to time, not on purpose but just because we loved music.. Her name was Colette (a track released in 1957/58 by Billy Fury) I have so many reactors now, since watching these Dan reviews, I can sort of tell those that just put Dan as click bait lol so becoming wiser.. knew of Dan from Friday Night Tights so a ways back now.. love his personality and of course his amazing voice.

Great reaction and response. I never realized why after I subscribed to a particular channel they didn't continue to show up on my suggestion page. I'm elderly and not tech savvy so after hearing your response I questioned my children about how to access your channel and watch the videos from your home page. I thought that subscribing to you, you would just automatically be on my recommended page. I truly thought I was helping reactors by subscibing, but then at times I couldn't remember the name of the reactor and how to find them again. Thank you so much for your info. It would be nice if TH-cam had a tutorial for people on how to navigate this (foreign world of technology) to not so tech savvy viewers. Thank you again and Peace and blessings to you.

The fun thing is that I didn’t listen to music befor Dan popped up on my phone New Years night. I listen only to him to I had listen to everything he put out. Then he got me to listen to other people that he covered and I have found out that I like the most of the music that is, not only classical that was on my radio in the car. I’m a Vasc fan, I can’t deny that, but I don’t want to listen to people who react and don’t say what they mean.

I agree you don't want only people that listen to Dan in your channel. I have listened to Dan with a lot of other artists because of his duets he brings another layer of diversity. Where would be if someone hadn't recommended Dan to me in the first place, I would have lost out on a great vocalist. Back to your reaction. Dan's vocal skill is amazing. It is clean and powerful, brings emotion and doesn't leave anything on table. He tries to make it his own and lends to is creativity as an artist. You will find he has 200+ videos in his catalog from opera to heavy metal but shines in metal. You can see that ever so clearly in his new song - My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion. Again, thank you for your reaction and looking forward to other suggestions you might have. Dan is hovering over his goal to have 1 million subscribers and should hit that soon.

His Nessun Dorma is perfect, Music of the Night from Phantom, I'll make a Man out of You (Mulan) are all brilliant. He also does some fantastic duets - Kiss from a rose (Seal) with Violet Orlandi and his band features in the Rhapsody Cover - Dawn of Victory with Fabio Leone - this is unbelievably epic! One of my very favorite Dan videos. I don't know how it could be any better - unless it were longer! What a superb job of singing and acting, not to mention the great metal scream (musical and in tune), and the mother of all hair flips! And you're right, his kind of singing takes extensive vocal training - which he has, in both classical and metal techniques. He even used to give voice lessons for a while. I love Dan Vasc. He is without a doubt one of the best singers in the world and in his style THE best. He is masterful. Such precision, his expressions... He is timeless, he is so powerful. Also, I discovered your channel recently, sorry, I'm French and I love the way you explain your technique. You are an excellent teacher. the piece gains even more power when we learn that this kind of grunt to switch to pure nos can tear the throat and that it requires incredible technique. A great pleasure to listen to you. You decipher and open my mind to points that I had not thought of in song. Thank you for your honest words. I always find it quite disturbing when those "worshippers" leave such kind of comments. I can say, that it was due to finding Dan that I got back my pleasure in listening to great voices, but this way I also got introduced to reactors in general, to vocalists/vocal coaches reacting with good analysis of different songs and thereby to new musicians, that is the fun about the whole thing. And what those "cr...y" guys simply don't get: just because I don't like everything an artist does, doesn't make him/her less incredible, awesome or whatever. And anyway, if there is no more room for improvement, where is an artist supposed to go?
