Hi Amy! I live in Asheville ☺️ I highly recommend driving up the Blue Ridge Parkway while you’re here to take in the views. Biltmore Village is cute, walkable, and has some good shopping. It’s also much safer than downtown Asheville. Please be careful if you go downtown. Our city does a good job of keeping it hidden but we have a huge homeless and drug problem here. Watch out for needles! We don’t take our son to any public areas downtown because there have been many incidents of children getting stuck by or finding needles. Stay alert ❤️
I recently quit drinking (don’t praise me just yet, I have A LONG way to go in my recovery… it’s quite daunting actually..) BUT I love your videos, Amy. They help keep me on track to focus on something household related and to get my motivation back. There are other “demons” per se that I have yet to conquer - baby steps - but just know that you are appreciated. Thank you ☺️

This will be the busiest summer yet for my family, my son is still in baseball until the end of June, going camping for my son's birthday in July, we'll finally start our remodel of our kitchen and living room, preparing for an elk hunt in September, and last but not least keep exercising and staying healthy for baby #4 on the way 😊
We are having our second baby this August. Our daughter is 2.5 and is so excited for her baby brother to get here. Summer time before he arrives will be a lot of time at the lake and in the pool. We live in Arizona so it’s HOT already! Just soaking up our last summer with only our daughter 💜 it’s a bitter sweet feeling.
I was in Asheville 2 years ago. We loved the Haunted Asheville tour. It was a walking ghost tour at night around downtown. There is also board game lounge/restaurant called Well Played that is wonderful if you end up with a rainy day. It has hundreds of games to choose from, and you can order food and drinks and play as long as you like and try new games! We love Biltmore Estate. Right now they have the Chihuly glass exhibition, plus you can tour the mansion, estate and grounds. Hiking is wonderful, and you can even go tubing down the French Broad River. Lots of things to see and do! Enjoy!

We have been fundraising the last 2 months. My grandson and 2 other classmates won state for NHD (National History Day) for their documentary on the battle of Midway and are now going to Nationals this week to Washington DC. Then he comes home and plays in All Stars so it’s a super busy month.
My husband and I actually leave on Sunday to travel to Greece. We are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We are really excited to have some time away from all the stresses of work and home and have some good quality time together. ❤️
We are actually on the way back from a family road trip-we drove from MN to NC and then to VA, stopping in OH and back-other states we went through were Iowa, Illinois, West Virginia, Kentucky, Wisconsin-we brought our kids to a science center in NC and to the beach in VA-total trip of 10+ days-thank goodness for family in NC and VA ❤
aww, sounds like a busy summer! My daughter just turned 13 and is in all star cheer. She will be busy with practice couple times a week and I think we are taking her to a cheer camp in KY in August. Yes, I have to write everything down in an actual planner to organize thoughts best!

It sounds like you and your family have a busy summer this year. I hope that both of your kids enjoy their summer along with their summer birthdays. I normally write important things down on our calendar we keep on the fridge along with putting it in our calendar on our phones. I have a disabled back, and yes, mopping is the worst, so i got the IFloor 2 a year or so ago, and it has helped me so much. I'm glad you shared the shower caddies as i was looking at them, too. My grandsons have a church camp in July. My next thing to get is the shower scrubber, so i will be checking out your tic tok shop. I have never looked at that, but i know a lot of people are always talking about it, so thank you for the link. I remember my church camps many years ago. It was fun. My husband and I moved into our new house ( new to us) just a couple months ago and we are still pretty busy getting settled. I love summer!

We kick off our “summer vacation” every year with a beach trip that ends on Memorial Day. We don’t have traditional jobs or kids so we don’t really have a summer vacation haha

Amy I couldn’t agree more about mopping. My back kills me afterwards, but I did get the Tineco 2 for Mother’s Day!! I’m so happy with it! I mop all the time, best part is seeing what came off the floors lol love how fast it dries too! Have a great summer with your beautiful family ❤

We love going to Biltmore in Asheville. It is beautiful. My teenage son and niece love it too. It is pricey but most of the time in the summer, kids are free

My summer will be spent at a children’s hospital for my daughter’s chemo treatment. She was just diagnosed with leukemia. My second child to have cancer. My goal is to get her to a water park before she gets too sick. We’re poor we can’t afford all the nice places so we the lake it is all summer, except for my little girl she can’t go.
Finally got the new floors installed and I bought the Tenco ( cheapest one) floor cleaner. So far I have used it daily because I have a 2 year old who likes to accidentally spill things. But I am loving it. My daughter and I went to Colorado two weeks ago for my oldest son’s High School graduation. My second child will be starting high school this year. But it was a great trip. I actually got the same shower candy for my bathroom. I redid the organizing in my bathroom which is super small. What I had in there was no longer working for me. I found 2 wood rolling cart ( came with 3 gorgeous whicker baskets each) a new towel holder and TP roller because mine broke and replaced the shower caddy I was using. This week I need to prep my room for painting. Then no more projects until next month. Plus I had a major sinus infection which landed me in the ER twice thankfully I now feel better and more productive. Just so glad to have the new floors because the carpet was giving me anxiety attacks because I couldn’t get it clean. Now have vinyl flooring and the family is loving it. Have a safe trip this weekend and a great week.

Wow Amy our kids have almost the same birthdays ! My first is also born on 6/15 and I’m due with my second this summer on 7/26. My wedding anniversary is in August. So I guess that answers what I have going on this summer lol. Being very pregnant and prepping for my second baby while enjoying my toddler. I LOVE summer and all the fun that comes with it. We live in San Diego so there’s lots to do around here but with all the tourism , we will keep it low key until September when the locals get the beaches and theme parks back 😂.

First of all love your videos and have purchased things you recommended for me and my adult daughters 🙂 I do not wash my comforter because I had a bad experience with taking one to a drycleaner and they ruined it. Now my comforter is rolled back every night so it does not touch either me our my husband. Thinking the mattress vacuum cleaner you recommend might be useful for keeping it fresh and get rid of dust. Would you agree or recommend something else?
Yes, a written planner for me is a must! ❤ May and the first of June are crazy for us too. We are currently on our family beach vacation , then back to reality at the end of the week 😢. I do however love getting back home and into the routine, is it just me?! 😂

I live about 2 hours from Asheville. I know you went to the Biltmore House last time. If you haven't visited The French Broad Chocolate Factory, you might visit their location where you take a tour to learn about the chocolate industry and have a taste testing.

I live in Asheville, NC! If y’all enjoy hiking trails, definitely need to try Triple Falls (moderate gravel trail to 3 waterfalls) it also has a picnic area and place to get in the water. I have 2 small step kids and they absolutely love going and having a picnic!

Amy, could you do like a day in the life of like what I eat every day as far as meals and snacks, if you stay within a certain calorie range or do you track protein or macros you are just so fit and I think it would be so helpful to other women to see what you do on a day-to-day basis as far as food
hey! I actually used to do Faster Way to Fat Loss where I tracked my macros and it was awesome! But the last few years I haven't been tracking and I've just been intuitive eating. I honestly loved learning to track macros and learning about what was best for my body, but it took a lot of time to plan everything out.

Hey there, Amy! Will the tineco vacuums work well on a house that is almost all tile? (Mine I think are 10x10 tiles) I saw you used it in your bathroom, but the grout lines look very thin. I’m just afraid the water will kind of puddle in my grout lines and the vaccuum won’t suck it up ….
I know you have hardwood and I see a lot of people have hardwood mostly in their house or something that resembles that. But, I have tile throughout my whole house, except for the three bedrooms.

Just a quick comment on the shower holders that you installed in this video. I bought these in the recent past after seeing them in a TH-cam video. They are good and they do hold a fair amount of weight, but one thing that I wish that I had known was how bad they start to rust. It stains anything that you set in it. I would be careful with your white bathroom tile.
oh no! These say that they are rust proof. I hope they hold up!

End of May was CRAZY busy for us too.. the 18th we had my daughters 7th bday then my oldest graduated highschool😢 on the 29th then we had college orientation on 30th and 31st then we had her grad party on the 1st..

Bailey will be going into eighth grade and she is a cheerleader so it’s all about camps, practices and team building for her. Emme will be a fifth grader and she has a basketball camp and tumbling. My Bailey will also have CIY (Christ In Youth) camp for 4 days. We do have a camping trip planned and we do this with two other couples and their kids.

Hi Amy, I love your videos!! They always motivate me and I've learned so many helpful tips! I grew up in South Georgia but have live in Asheville for the past 34 years or so! I hate to be the downer, but regarding Asheville....just know to be careful and aware of your surroundings. There is high crime and the homeless population has almost taken over the city. There are homeless on every corner panhandling, they camp all over town, leave trash everywhere and in my opinion they are a nuisance. As the other person from Asheville stated below, the hiking trails and visiting the Blue Ridge Parkway are amazing. Biltmore Village shops are fun to visit also. I truly hope you have a good experience. I often wonder what people visiting think of Asheville, so I'd love to hear from you after your trip. Good luck with the baseball tournament!!
