YOU ALREADY HAVE THESE??!! SQUEE!!!!!!🎉🥳 I have watched your video on the first release of these quads about 507 times. Every time I’d want you to consider getting a new combo I’d go back and watch again! I’m so excited for these new quads but want to make sure I only get one if it offers me something new from the YSL quads I already have. Your review of these new quads is the only one I need!!! I love that each of these new ones has two mattes, a satin, and a glitter. The mattes from the original quads were my favorite. The difficulty you had blending made my stomach drop. Why would they change a good thing? 😭😭😭😭 (I always use a glitter glue with any glitter topper because of my hooded eyes, too. A bit of fallout isn’t a deal breaker for me. I actually dip into these quads to just use the glitter toppers with other looks all the time-especially the one in 200 which I use with coral looks!) Your swatches of 700 reminded me of a Guerlain Ombres G quad I have in Imperial Moon. Totally different formulas, but similar shades swatched! I really like the color story of 800! I love a gold! I can’t wait to see what you think of 710 (especially compared to 100) and 810 (for the orange 😍). I will pick one of these 3 to make sure I’m not irked by the mattes and see how it goes! I will definitely be waiting until you get the other 2 first to make my decision, though!! 💕 Also… please do lavender and green next, YSL!
I know! It was a bit of a let down to see that the mattes aren't quite as blendable as the spectacular mattes in the original line. Yes! The balance of finishes in these palettes is so useful. I've never tried any of the Guerlain quads, although several of them have turned my head a couple of times. ;-) The color story of 800 is my favorite so far. But I'm looking forward to seeing what the 710 and 810 quads have to offer too. I second that! Green and lavender, all the way! It's always lovely to hear from you, Lisa! I got 710 and I agree, the texture is different and patchier. The crease matte shade is similar to the old ones, but the darker brown has a significantly stickier texture that doesn’t diffuse heavenly on the eye like my other quads and is hard to blend.
As sad as I am to hear that, part of me is relieved that this difference wasn't just in my head. The 710 and 810 are on their way to me now, so I'll be sure to keep this in mind as I review those as well. Thank you for taking a moment to your experience with the 710 - it's really helpful.

These quads really are great - I can't wait for the rest of them to be released. I was wondering if you'd find them on vacation. Patchiness is relative. I’ll do a direct comparison in a few days and share it here. But I have a feeling the 800 palette is the more neutral, less saturated version of the Golden Palette - the YSL mattes have less intense color. (I’m basing this on my knowledge of the original Gold Palette).
I may have found your channel from your original ysl quad video. With a quad every shade needs to be amazing and work well together. Glitter toppers are not my most favorite. All of the information I needed😊

Omg I've seen them and Dore and the orangey one are sitting in my shopping cart for few days now. I love those colors 😊 And ND golden palette is nowhere to be found not her website and certainly not in shops yet , so I'm thinking should I get those instead? The Dore palette definitely reminds me of the ND Gold palette. If it helps your decision-making: the ND palette will give you more gold options, whereas the Dore palette only gives you one gold satin and one golden glitter topper. So if you enjoy a very curated palette, Dore is better. But if you enjoy options, it might be worth waiting for the Golden palette (in her Stories, Natasha Denona said the campaign would begin in three weeks (which would bring us to June). Wow! 800 looks great. I resisted buying any of these previously because none of the color stories were quite right for me. I like warm but not too warm. Tom Ford Suspicion is one of my very favorites. I love the neutral tones of both browns in 800. Definitely adding to my wishlist. Great comparisons!❤

The orange intrigues me as well! I got my 800 quad in Germany and am still waiting for the other two to release. Glitter is designed to just get everywhere. It's a universal law of devil dust's existence. I will say that these glitter toppers do have a hint of fairy magic about them. I can't say I noticed any fall out when you tried to demonstrate it, but that could be down to my monitor settings and lighting. Great job on the swatching. They really show a lot of the nuance that you talked about. There's always something special to the things that have the right amount of Floof. I mistakenly gave away a blanket that had it for me and I don't think they are made anymore so I can't get another one.
"Devil dust" 😂 I can see why people call it that. But when it comes to eyeshadow, it suddenly becomes fairy dust. 😂 The fallout is minimal. I could see it in my mirror and on my monitor, but it wasn't much. I'm so glad the swatches are coming across! As always, thanks for the feedback. It sounds like you've experienced a tragic loss of floof. I hope you're able to find it in another blanket at some point.

I really appreciate the “magical fluffy” 😆 formula of these mattes too and are one of my favourite eye shadows. The way they melt and diffuse is super flattering I find. So slightly worried about the formula change, I hope it’s not that noticeable, cause I’m the princess and the pea when it comes to eyeshadow! Super excited for these quads, which also satisfy my dirt shade requirements :) thanks for the great review ♥️
Isn't that magical floofiness absolutely amazing? I think YSL might have been reacting to feedback that the palettes get dusty (especially my Stora Dolls, the one that broke, got very dusty). But I'd rather have a slightly dust-covered palette than give up those special mattes! I wanted the Over Noir quad but from the swatches the color story seems very reminiscent of the Guerlain Imperial Moon, which I already have.

NYX makes it. It's actually a glitter primer made specifically for makeup. Not craft glitter glue. I probably should have clarified. 😂
