This song is a classic. John seems to have trouble dialing in his delay effect. He would normally play this song using the DigiTech PDS 1002 Digital Delay but because of some issue he played it using the MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay.
Despite this gear issue he still came out a Champ!
John Frusciante was my main focus with this and other videos from this concert. More coming soon.
Love how John is such an old school guitar player that he fixes his own shit in the middle of a huge concert.

When I saw John hunched over the pedal board I knew the tone was going to be perfect; when I saw him stretch his fingers I knew his technique would be immaculate; when I saw him take a drink I knew his voice would be incredible. Chills, man.

@@Tqoratsos666 yeah i felt awkard, john was having a hard time setting up the pedals for the song, I think that people shouting his name at him didnt really help

He’s acting like I haven’t seen him act since the late 80s early 90s but just way mellower. The stop, turn around and stand staring awkwardly after the guitar solo. All his younger days he would do that all the time then stopped after blood sugar. He’s such a fascinating guy.

All these years made us totally realize what a great artist we have almost lost, wondering if he was well and what he was doing aside from his side projects, and then out of nothing the news of the comeback, sudden as when he left, and seeing him, alive, on stage, while he's doing what he loves creating his music and being lucky to be traversed by the feelings suggested from his playing... priceless

@@captainteatop2609 I actually think the version of don't forget me live at the Seagal might be better than don't forget me live at saline although they're both legendary and I have this Lane Castle DVD I absolutely love it one of my best friends actually saw them live at Slane Castle in person for a college trip

@@captainteatop2609 I actually got tickets for this September in Philadelphia I had always wanted to see them live but right when I started going to concerts is right when John quit the band in 2009 this is like a gift from God that he came back and I'm going to be able to see him live with the band

Is John having symptoms of early arthritis in his hand? the constant massaging and stretching even in the middle of the song.
The solo is a perfect mix of the original melody and energizing improvisation, great way to reintroduce the song into their setlists (first time they played it with John back).

Who ever John has working for him as guitar and sound tech needs to be fired...every site there seems to be a problem...
He just changes his pedals settings from song to song. He fiddles with it every sing concert for decades. It’s just his thing.
