My take on Black Summer by Red Hot Chili Peppers. You can really feel John’s soul come out through his guitar work. This is an incredible single and a first one after his comeback. Maybe that is why I appreciate this song so much. FYI the song is in Eb - I did not tune down just played one fret lower. Enjoy and comment - I’ll take any opinions! Your bend is not just but this cover i realy good
Thanks man! Hey, let’s see your cover now 👍
Nice job very cool way you played the pre Chorus but the chorus is an e major.
The best intro i've ever heart so much mélody, funk, technik, precision ❤
Nice tone in the solo and great RHCP Covers!
Thanks Manolo! Appreciate it!

Puedes hacer un video tuturial de cómo conseguir ese tono sucio limpio de frusciante?😅
03:03- 03:08 John 😂❤
This is my all time fave RHCP song. Such a banger.
Nice tone, sounds quite true to the original. I'd like to know more about your gear before the cover. :) subbed
Thanks man! Check out my last video. There are couple of pedalboard shots 🎸
a must to play if you are an RHCP fan.
That first solo is a classic i really love it. Nothing crazy.. just a nice little story.
Yeah it gets the job done!
surprising you play very well the tone is spectacular you are great
Thanks for the kind words! Appreciate it
The greatest master
Very nice Chris 👌 ❤✌🌶😸
Cheers
Amazing tone! Can you do a pedalboard video? I stopped at the 25 second mark just to take a look at all the pedals
Maybe in the future. It’s not really kind of content I’m about right now. I might include some more shots in the next covers though. Cheers!
Nice cover man! Are you using The Jackhammer inside the NS-2 loop or do you put it after?
It’s in the loop but I very rarely engage the ns-2 if at all. Currently no noise issues with my rig XD
@@ChrisHopkinsGuitarAight, yeah from my experience the NS-2 works only when I have only one drive pedal engaged, but when I start stacking them (for example DS-2+SD-1+Variac fuzz) it becomes so loud that the NS-2 can't comprehend that much signal and becomes useless.
4:27
Damn that was amazing man!
Cheers man! Glad you enjoyed!
saludos desde argentina
Que pasa que pasa!!!
how do you manage the noise using the ds2 + big muff combo?
Noise or volume jump? Volume jump because I have an always on overdrive pedal after all of my gain pedals (marshall jackhammer). Noise I cannot manage - you start to play the moment you engage ds-2 or big muff and turn them off right after you end. That way there is no room for noise to be audible.
Where did you get the vocal track?
It’s a backing track for the album version I believe
legend has it he walked straight to your mom's house for a glass of milk
This was the best intro of entire tour, for sure. I Listen this before jogging to warm, its exciting.
Perfect tone! In the chorus you are playing E minor, it should be E mayor
Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed!
Sir, are you from Poland?
Yesssir
omg... thx for this amazing cover
Dziękuję uprzejmie!
Absolutely love the tones and appreciate the video quality man!
Thanks Silver, I appreciate it!
solo 🎸🔥
Sounds like studio vocal with Slane Castle guitar. Clever and extremely well done.
Thank you! Means a lot
❤
What's up with with the tempo?
One more question man, how is that possible that you don’t get a volume jump when turning on ds2 and big muff for the solo?
Good question. I run a Marshall Jackhammer pedal after all my gain pedals. It simulates an overdriven and compressed amp (compressed in a good way). Even though I have my Marshall amp on 5 as well as CE-1 preamp in high mode from PastFX Chorus there is still enough headroom for volume jump. Jackhammer keeps it in check. Check out Dave Simpson’s yt videos on this subject - he explains it very well. Btw. pytaj po polskiemu. Tutaj sami swoi 😃
dude check your tempo... nice one btw! good luck!
Hey man nice cover, could you share the settings of your amps by any chance?
Sure, High mode, P: 3, B: 10, M: 7,1, T: 1, OM: 5 pulled, LM: 0, IG: 6.
@@ChrisHopkinsGuitar thanks
Very nice!
You played Em in the chorus, I think it's major. Good cover, by the way!
Good thing it was Em. Would be worse if I fingered Am 😬

Great work man! I like that you show us when you engage every pedal 👌👌
Thanks bro! Glad you enjoyed
wonderful work bro
Thank you very much good sir
It seems to me there are no comments. Lucky to be the first, cool cover, I can see major work over the sound
Thanks a lot! I still learn and try to improve my recording skills.
also my first proper song. it will take me another 10 years to be able to play it remotely like John.
I guess it took him a couple of hours of practice as well 😀
John do you play a 63 strat ?
Hey man, I play a 1997 Fender Strat
chords for this please???
im sure C hopkins would agree with me that this is the the best moment of the night

@@Blkac-pill-Black-Life yeah brother I got you. Generally this arena is bad for concerts but somehow where I sat and what I recorded with got better result. Lucky I guess!
