- I lost my girlfriend during the Dinagyang Festival 2020! For some reason, I lost Ave in the crowd when we were watching the amazing tribal performances. We looked for here the entire festival but we could not seem to find her. If you are new to the Philippines you have to watch this video from the Dinagyang Festival 2020 as it might convince you to go next year.

What caught my attention was how orderly and clean the streets are in Iloilo City. Even in the thick of celebrations, it seems they managed to keep the streets clean and neat!
Daming tao, konting basurahan, pero walang basura sa daan! Nasa disiplina lang talaga! Sana ganyan dito sa Manila. Dito sa Manila walang occasion pero puro basura ang daan.
Filipinos are so friendly. My physical therapist is from the Philippines and she is such a kind and sweet lady!

all of the Philippine festivals have religious and cultural roots. these performers are something else! imagine performing with passion, energy and full smiles under the full heat of the sun! they do this, aside from the prestige and honor of representing their community or school, some do it as a (religious) devotion - for thanksgiving, most of the time.

Good job on this vlog Martin. Unlike the sinulog festival where it was way too loud and all I could hear was screaming, this one was done so much better. You have experienced the Philippines way more than I have but then again I moved to the states when I was 14. 😀 Hopefully someday. Btw, going to Bergen in May!
