Easily the coolest character in the franchise when u think about it. Man has been doing this for 3 years meanwhile Thomas doing it for 3 days. (But Tom is the goat for picking it up in 3 days he’s got that DAWG in him) and then newt is easy number 3 to complete the trio

Besides, Thomas was basically following Minho's lead for the entirety of the movie. Without him, he'd be just as clueless as any of the other Gladers. They are in no way equivalent, like you pointed out; Minho has been stuck inside the maze for 3 years and memorised it like the back of his hand. So, how about you try understanding both the characters and my comment next time before resorting to pathetic insults that only serve to project your insecurities? That might take more braincells than you have available champ

Correct, Minho has to figure everything out by himself for 3 years. Again, doing that for 3 years as opposed to 3 days is tremendously more impressive considering he’s still alive and running the maze. Thomas just had to follow along and I’m not putting him down I’m just saying that there’s a strict different in the 2. Also for someone who’s claiming I’m projecting my insecurities simply over a miscommunication says all I need to know about you. If you look closely, you can see that Gally is still moving a little bit. And you can even hear him breathe at one point.
Either his actor couldn't hold it in for that long, or it foreshadows him returning in Death Cure

The attention to detail starts here. He got stung on purpose to find out the whole truth of what happened that lead them up to the maze. He saw everything, including the outside world in ruins. That's why he kept saying "We can't leave." "We belong to the maze." The reason being is there is nothing left and there only safe place was the maze. He was only pointing the gun at Thomas because as you know, Thomas was one of the scientist in the lab for the maze. It basically explains why he was so emotional in this scene. To be honest, even if he was a jerk and all, I don't blame him.
If it wasn't for the Grievers the Maze would've unironically been the safest place to be in

not really they were just test subjects like lab rats that were expendable till they found a cure
They were being tested, they had to escape anyway because the grievers were already starting to attack them
I cried at this scene 😢 Also it hits different when they went in the desert after a long time😢
I love the range of deaths from gunshot wounds in movies...sometimes its 30 seconds and sometimes its 10 minutes lol
It depends where you're shot. That can definitely happen that u still have 10 min till you bleed out or u die after 30sec.

Look, I get that Chuck wouldn’t have survived the scorch. But if anything that just makes his death all the more tragic bc there was no way he could get the happy ending that he deserved. It’s even worse knowing that in the books he was forced to sacrifice himself :(
After seeing Will Poulter playing sweet innocent dork Kenny in "We're the Millers", I was super impressed how convincing he was playing no-nonsense badass Gally in Maze Runner. Clearly he has versatility as an actor.

I like it how he stopped crying when he was dragged out of the building
that's not too unrealistic... with such an adrenaline rush and overflow of impressions during the rescue one can really get overwhelmed and kind of pause the emotional processing for a moment... it's why oftentimes victims of an accident or some sort of very violant/chaotic situation suddenly start crying (or just generally comprehend and process what they've experienced and feel) after everything has calmed down... it's kind of a natural survival instinct to still be able to act and move and not get caught up in emotions... in this scene it's just a little different because thomas first had a calmer environment to already start processing Chuck's death before the hectic rush ensued...
After reading the book it’s crazy how much this differs from the first.
Yeah, though I don't mind it. The book is better but there Are some things I like in the film more than the book, like the portrayal of Gally and the ending, the latter I thought was a bit too much.
They've done it with EVERY SINGLE BOOK TO FILM SERIES.

@@sacrifice308 I haven’t read the books in like 5 years but if I remember correctly there were multiple maze trials but no it’s isn’t a cycle. Once all the groups were done they were going to go into the next phase

he probably did follow them plus I’m sure he could’ve found section 7 by himself since he spent 3 years in the maze and minho, the leader of the runners was there for 3 years too. at some point gally must’ve seen that maze from the inside. and if you look closely, he has that thingy that those grievers have inside them which opens that door to the lab. also he wanted to shoot them because he was stung and when you get stung by a griever, you can’t think straight and you immediately start remembering everything that you couldn’t after you were put in the maze. gally always thought that the maze was the safest to be so letting everyone out would be a huge mistake. in a way, gally got too mentally attached to the glade staying there for 3 years even if it wasn’t the best place to be plus on top of that after getting stung, he didn’t know what he was doing

Maybe he got treated by some talented medics when he got picked up, he said he's "immune", immunes are important right? So maybe they did everything just to save him.

I have to admit something, gally is an amazing character and will poulter is an amazing actor but I don't think he's right for this role. Gallys meant to be hated but will poulter I find way too likeable of a person to be the bad guy

Gally has little to no experience with the Maze. There’s little to no chance he would have figured out the necessary 8-digit code required to get there 😒
So, we’re supposed to suspend disbelief and accept that Gally:
1) Knew the way through to Maze to section 7 (or was incredibly stealthy enough to follow unnoticed)
2) Got the transmitter McGuffin off a Griever but *also* got stung *AND* somehow carried on (unlike what happens to others who become incapacitated)
3) He also knew the 8-digit code to the facility (even in his afflicted state), and
4) Went to all this trouble to go all the way through the Maze *only* to attempt to kill them because they all belong in the Maze which he and the others *JUST ESCAPED* 🙄
Absolute nonsense.
Gally was the one who put them in that maze to keep them safe from the cranks. The sting gave him back his memories.
Just enjoy the movie, stop looking for specifics like this. You’ll ruin pretty much every movie you ever watch if this is what you search for lolop
In the book he was taken directly by WICKED who brainwashed him and set him up in the control room to kill Thomas. We don't see what happened in the movie but it's reasonable to think something similar might have happened here.

1) we don't know if it was section 7, but it was probably another key's section he took from a Griever.
2) pretty easy to take the key from a Griever when the majority of them were squished under the doors closing. And the virus takes time to spread, infact we saw the effects on others only after a period of time.
3) he's not so afflicted because the only symptoms at that stage of infection are rage and incapacity to thinking straight. And Gally probably knew the sequence, 'cause he was like the third in command, the only thing Alby & Minho kept secret from others was the fact there was nothing left to map.
4) again, Gally was always scared to discover the truth and when he got stung he wasn't thinking clearly and the virus only enhanced his fears, with the result of wanting to make others fall in the pit of doom with him too.
Pretty intuitive, not so difficult to understand, as you see. ;)

Thomas is the only character in the series that is 100% immune to the virus so he regains his memories but the virus doesn't harm him
