I’ve experienced how our justice system works and I can safely they don’t take us seriously. The reception you get at the police station can send the victim straight home without even opening a case. No patience, no empathy, no anger of wrong doing or towards the perpetrators .

An application against the NPA seems appropriate. Compel them to give you a report and answer to the court as to why the matter isn't moving. That should be an easy order to get and make sure they are liable for costs. In your papers, push for court to give them timelines in which they must report, failure which they will be in contempt. In your contempt application you push for imprisonment of the prosecutor or a ridiculous fine. That seems to work in most cases.
Courts can't do much if the parties themselves are dragging the matter (the State being the main partyhere)

Yho crying at her every word, broken😭 I am also reminded of an incident last year where my brother was shot by a close friend at tarven, just a drunk brawl. Luckily my brother survived after a year being in and out of hospital. The police came at the hospital that night, called by the hospital when the victim has with gun wound. My brother friends who took him to the hospital, told us the police said my brother must come to the police station when recovered to open a case of attempted murder 💔 That's the justice system in this country. Police didn't even go investigate and arrest the guy who shot someone in a public establishment with cameras. Nothing! #justiceforXolani

This prosecutor needs to be investigated. They seem very suspicious. I feel like the accuser bribed them, and now they're just dragging the case out. Even if the accused goes to jail, they'll only be in for five years, then they're free. It honestly feels like the system is rigged. Part of me wants to take the $750,000 settlement, but the idea of that guy walking free because of money just sits wrong with me. Only God can bring justice. I admire the young ladies bravery God is with you.

The problem is our legal system. It is too lenient. Section 105A of the Criminal Procedure Act makes provision for a plea bargain and that is what the accused is negotiating with the Prosecutors. section 105A allows for monetary compensation and that is why there is an offer of R700k. The family must fight. A criminal lawyer can explain this to viewers so that people can learn about the provisions of section 105A. It is a hard story.
