- Violence against women and girls is a 'national emergency' with nearly 3,000 crimes recorded every day, a leading police chief has warned in a new report.
Met Police Assistant Commissioner, Louisa Rolfe, explains what measures the police are taking to crack down on violence against women and girls.
Lisa Squire, whose daughter Libby was raped and murdered after being kidnapped walking home after a night out in 2019, says that the onus should be on men and boys to not commit any acts of violence against women and girls.

Not surprised as the sentences handed out to domestic abusers are petty and no deterrent at all
2016 one of these specimens flashed at me whilst "enjoying himself" on public transport. Police were called, took statements and accessed cctv and initially took it very seriously wanting to arrest and charge. They then u turned and closed the case because he gave rail staff a fake name and address when they stopped him. I have never heard another thing about it from police so I guess he's been out there escalating for the last 8 years 🙄 women don't report because what is the point?

Richard is spot on. what we need is more restrictions to very extreme views and on p**n. what we also need to is more positive male role models in the early years.
what we shouldn't do is constantly telling young boys that they are bad because this will lead to young boys turning to this content.

"That figure IS THOUGHT to be a HUGE under-representation ... so many crimes don't every get reported". There are no stats on unreported crime, so why guess that it's huge?
Violence is a violence thing. Playing with demographics is dramatic intersectional politics which diverts attention. Two or more people can be engage in mutual group violence for instance. How is that sorted out? How many men report violence from women and girls?

The trouble is They really don't want to mention that, and I know very well about that situation as I had absolutely zero empathy off Male Police Officers when I asked them for a little bit of help after being Domestically Abused by my Ex Wife of 16 years! Actually the cops threatened to arrest me 4 times for no reason whatsoever, my Youngest Son told me the fourth time that He Himself heard the cop asking "Do you want us to arrest Him?" And my Son even said that He thought "For What? My Father hasn't even done anything!!"
