Omg.... I looked this song up after many years as it haunts me since I was a child and I never thought I'd like it translated because it is a very special song, it's storytelling and it's like poetry. But not only did you not stray from the actual meaning in the original language, you managed to rhyme the lyrics so perfectly, it's so satisfying in my ears as if it is a spell or something, it sounds so good. And the way you changed the 'she would like a moonchild' to 'she WILL have a moonchild' is just.... chills. Emphasises the gruesome incident that fulfilled her prophecy/request. It's very good! Nice voice and the lyrics keep the original idea beautifully narrated in English :)
As a fan of the song I'll say, well done! If I should add something maybe adding more drama to the song would make it even better. For example,the part in which he kills his wife, abandoning their son, that is all very crude and sad, I think it should be sung like it is happening before one's eyes.
Ana Torroja, the singer, has a sweet, high-pitched voice but she also portrays what is happening with some roughness in her voice. Every stanza in the song is building up to that point. But just a little comment ^^
As I said though, I really liked it, and the adaptation is wonderful. So may I ask, what would think of doing Mujer contra mujer: wVSA2CEIQ7U. It is basically awareness of same-sex female relationships. And it was back in 1988, so it was very much ahead of its time. It is a beautiful song
