I am currently renovating a house. And for plasterboard found Wickes to be really good. (Trade discount) and order before 12 noon for next day delivery and as they are all sub contracted out the delivery guy always helps you unload to where you want it.
@@matthewadamsofficial South Wales so other side of the country. I think you need to spend £85 for free delivery. But plasterboards are a right pain to get delivered.
Your construction techniques and material are so much different than USA. It would be great if you slowed down the video and explained the material that you use. The material looks so much better than the USA. Very insulated and heavy duty. Thanks for the videos.
That’s expensive plasterboard but hayho you’ll not do that again at least not soon anyway lol I always take a couple of lengths of timber when I used to buy plasterboard and put timber on top to hold plasterboard in place. Love the colour scheme not lol it will grow on me no doubt. Plenty of graft done this week well done .
30 years old - well you've come a long way in your career in a short time, be proud of yourself. I know it must be hard at times and obstacles happen periodically (like the car incident) but you'll manage it and nobody was hurt, which is the main thing. Eat some cake and have a beer! The lilac paint looks great and I love how the bath tile colors in the green and blue houses match their exteriors. Kindly clarify how you're using the outbuilding (lilac home.) Do I understand it correctly? It's an outbuilding that was on the deed but instead of renting it out as a flat, you'll use it as a holiday home for your own family? And the green and blue homes will be rented out?
That’s what we both said, accidents happen.. it’s relatively cheap in comparison to what could have been a worse scenario and nobody was hurt :) So yeah the conversion of the existing outbuilding is ancillary accommodation (it’s apart of the deeds for number 1) You have me a little puzzled as nobody has mentioned about renting it or it being classed as a flat? I’m only pulling you up about it as a lady pulled up the other day and asked the exact same thing work for word? Are you local Tracy? Could be a coincidence haha! I should mention as the job progresses the vision and concept of what goes on in my head changes all the time so it keeps Dave on his toes and the TH-cam viewers.. Things change on the weekly as not everything works in reality! I can’t take any credit this is my wife who has chosen the colour scheme - no doubt she’ll be featured on the Chanel soon 😁👍🏼 I will mention for anyone local who is interested in seeing the project, given the workload of these two houses I’m quite approachable and have time to chat about the progress.. Feel free to message me via my instagram to arrange a date & time as there’s certain health and safety protocols 😁👍🏼
@@matthewadamsofficial Oh wow, this IS a coincidence as I live in Ontario, Canada near Niagara Falls - so it wasn't me who pulled up haha. Although I admit that my husband and I would love to live in either the green or blue houses as they're bound to be gorgeous and the fireplaces are sensational but no we're not local. Whether the houses are rented out or sold, whoever lives in them is very lucky. I "assumed" these houses were to be rentals and therefore part of your future business income - it was merely an assumption and I didn't mean to be pushy in anyway. My husband and I are in our mid 60's and I'm thrilled to watch young people (such as yourself) forge a business and NOT depend on the corporations for a job. Tell your wife I love the tiles.
@@tracybush8115 aww that’s awesome! Can’t believe you’ve see my video from so far away haha! Really appreciate the kind words! Your more then welcome to ask any questions.. you’ll see why I’m questioning you with my next video.. We’ve some naughty nosy neighbours that are up to no good.. but not to worry! I’d love to visit Niagara Falls one day.. are they as good as people say? (from your point of view?) I’m hoping after all this work to be financially free for me and my family off the rental income.. we’ve put the work in time to reap some rewards! :)
Never a dull moment with you is there, lol. I think you've probably banged your head one too many times and knocked something loose. 350 quid to get her car fixed sounds about right though. Way cheaper in the long run than getting the insurance involved. Trust you to stop the video and not showing that extra bit of roof going on. I've been waiting bloody ages to see what it was going to look like. Happy 30th dude 😀
Definitely a few screws loose 🤣 we got to a point on the Friday and just said I’ve had enough.. down tools let’s go home.. still the other half to be fitted! Cheers 😁👍🏼👍🏼🎂
