your Zelda cosplay looks really great and I love how excited you got for this game by the ending of the trailer. I really think this game is going to be something special and its likely the last Zelda game we will get for a very long time.
Link has to go on a quest to save Zelda so there can be a plot for the game. A Zelda game where nothing goes wrong and Link & Zelda get to hangout all day would effectively just be a game where the two open a bed & breakfast together in the countryside. Ok, I would buy that game.
I mean, that's really not true. It's what happens in most Zelda games, because it's nintendo and they don't really seem to care about writing unique and different stories as much. They could make a game where Zelda is an NPC character, could give you quests, adventure with Link, is an active part of the story and works to defeat Ganon with Link, or at least governs over the kingdom she's supposed to rule while Link goes after Ganon. The route they went in BoTW and ToTK just feels.....I don't want to say lazy, but at the very least boring and kinda tired imo (could partially be just be me not liking the whole "all of the story/character growth happens in the past" situation that both games do). I'm glad she's getting her chance to shine in Echoes of Wisdom now, but I feel like they can do so much more with Zelda in the mainline 3D games than they currently are.
@@tlozmeowcatz7991 I was being slightly sarcastic. Though I stand by that the LoZ traditionally does thing a certain way, I don't actually think it has to be that way. I genuinely think that a LoZ Link & Zelda open a cottage B&B would be fun, and the earlier part of my post was just teeing up the later part. BTW, in the B&B scenario Zelda doesn't know she is the long lost princess the king is looking for, and Link is the handsome handyman she highers to fix things. It's a smaller adventure.
I'm assuming that he's the only one with the ability to travel back in time to save her. She has the power to seal Ganon, but not the other powers that Link gets. Link can't defeat Ganon without her though. They both need each other.
My wildcard guess is that she’s not necessarily trapped somewhere in time but rather that she’s trapped in “another Hyrule”, mostly because of how they made sure to put some emphasis on the golden trees and how they’re not native to Hyrule’s surface world and I feel that it be a reference to the “Golden Land” (aka the Sacred Realm) that has been mentioned before in other games of the series, namely A Link to the Past.

While it may be possible, I really see no reason to believe that time travel is involved.
