Rest in eternal peace Alan. I miss our long hours looking at the stars and just being together. It’s so long ago, but I still hear your voice in my head. You’re loved and missed so much.
RIP the four members of Canned Heat Alan “Blind Owl” Wilson (July 4, 1943 - September 3, 1970), aged 27 Bob “The Bear” Hite (February 26, 1943 - April 5, 1981), aged 38 Henry “The Sunflower” Vestine (December 25, 1944 - October 20, 1997), aged 52 Larry “The Mole” Taylor (June 26, 1942 - August 19, 2019), aged 77 You will always be remembered as legends.
Never even new about this GEM, until about a year ago and I thought that I was fairly well knowledgeable about the Woodstock concert and most of the performing artist's and their "popular hits" but this is mind expanding music for the masses, every person on the planet should be exposed to this at a young age, we would probably get along with each other somewhat better than we currently do,,,? Just wish I had heard it 20/40 years ago
Among the best performances in the festival among others by Santana Ten Years After Sly & The Family Stone & Jimmy Hendrix. Although it didn't make the original still a great performance.
You're very welcome. I originally watched the videos of this but it's only 2 parts that come out to about 15 minutes or so. If I was better at editing I could try put the videos on the bits where the footage exists
@@husq2100 not that I know of but you could find the high quality archive audio online and burn it to a cd. this is just converted to mp4 so quality isnt as good as the file its taken from
One of my bands did some Canned Heat songs. Fito had a distinct driving beat which my band's drummer and I called the Fito de la Parra beat. He'd hit an accent every other time he'd hit the snare. We loved it! P.S. We got to meet the band before and after a 1969 concert. I have a pic of us with Bob "The Bear" Hite all posing for the pic. And, Larry Taylor! One of my two bass guitar idols!

great upload. Thank You. But... It's not the full performance. You clipped the first ~20seconds or so. Better than the one put up in Aug '14 that clipped the last ~33seconds.
Jul'12 upload is full version, but before HQ youtube uploads allowed. So Audio Quality is noticeably lower. yours is the compromise thus far. thanks again.
sorry i found the full performance mp3 and just clipped it where i thought the song started. the little jams between songs arent very clear where one ends and one starts. like life

Four? Adolfo "Fito" de le Parra??
@@jrg45721You missed the point of his comment. Fito de la Parra is alive, that's why he isn't on there.
Canned Heat, I first heard ," On The Road Again ', on 8 track, 68 Mustang fast back, most beautiful car, never again.
One of the best in blues. Seen'em yes, it was confirmed.
Love this Canned Heat music!....they are so special...
Percussion was on fire on this tune...and freaking Blind Owl was one of a kind. His guitar riffs are awesome.....thanks for posting.
EXACTLY!!
Uh, dude, that’s Harvey Mandel on lead.
@@KeithOtisEdwards ....i didn't say lead, I said riffs or strokes, plus Blind Owl and Mandel shared the lead.

They were so good. There was just so much great music from that era that they don’t get as much hype as they deserved. RIP Alan, RIP Bear
WE ARE BLESSED AS HUMANS LONG LIVE ROCK N ROLL
Larry Taylor is THE MAN on bass!
The had the entire audience up & boogie-ing. ❤️. Listen to that reaction at the end! Gold.

The remarkable thing is how so many wonderful musicians came together at me time. That will never be repeated. Stay safe bros and sis.X
Man I love this music and musicians ❤️
Allan Taylor’s grooving and oozing bass guitar riffs makes me boogie 🍄🌳🍄🚀
First time hearing this extended version. Fantastic! Thanks very much for the download.

Hall of Fame - all the way!
Canned Heat is the Hall of FAME. 1954 ORVILLE H GIBSON. Lester Polsfuss model.
Fito was one of the most under rated drummers of that era the man could flat out play them skins!
