If anyone is interested in Alex and what happens after True Colors, the same folks who made the Life is Strange Max + Chloe comics have another comic called “Life is Strange: Forget-Me-Not” It follows the ending where you romance Steph and leave Haven Springs and it follows Alex and Steph coming across a homeless little girl on the road who has powers to alter, remove, and give away people’s memories. It is quickly discovered that the girl has the trauma of many people’s worst memories in her mind and on her shoulders so Alex and Steph dissect those memories to track down whom they belong to and give them back. ANDDDDD there’s a new Life is Strange Alex and Steph NOVEL, titled “Life is Strange: Heatwaves” which is ANOTHER Alex + Steph On-The-Road story!
If anyone is confused about the comics, think of it as 1 branch of many possibilities in what would happen if you sacrifice Arcadia Bay, the comics are their own “canon” just not the “canon” that branches off the video games!
Copied from my older comment. About the comic, one of the LiS dev confirm it wasn't a canon event but it describe as "One of thousand possibilities in between Max's alternate timelines". But still it is super interesting to read.
But there aren’t any alternate timelines anymore when you sacrifice Chloe. There’s only multiple timelines if you sacrifice Arcadia bay. I’m glad nothing is canon and that way everyone can just have their head canon
Quick sidenote: you have to complete True Colors' main story first before you can play Wavelengths. Found that out after trying to start True Colors with Wavelengths on a new save. It tells you to finish the main story on that save first
Steph and Mikey is absolutely cool person to hanging around with. I did played Wavelength dlc and loved how they made Steph as a better character than BTS one. Thanks Sparxxyy for making a full plot of LiS even though I knew all of it but I'm still enjoy watching this video anyway. I forgot that Steph Story is about destroyed Arcadia Bay tho, I did read the LiS comics about Max and Chloe already but seems like Steph's Story might be worth it as well. I also would like to congratulate for your 1k subs even you're almost reaching it, keep up with your wonderful video and good job.
Steph and Mikey were amazing side characters in BtS, I wish we got to see a little more of them. I felt like it was definitely a bold move for Steph's Story to assume the reader sacrificed AB, but it was still interesting to see how it affected Steph, despite her not being present in AB when the storm happened, she still lost her mother and probably some friends. Thank you so much!! I appreciate all of your support :)
@@Sparxxyy yup, they might assumed readers to choose sacrifice Bay ending, you did a right choice to mention about that book tho, I totally missed about that details. I think right LiS book might be focusing on Max's story due to Double Exposure hype. They can filled in all the plot in between. I'm kinda happy they decided to go in-depth into Steph character. For most of the people she ain't nothing but for a lore enthusiast she is a person who knows Chloe personally. So her story in Wavelength DLC worth it, I might not be a fan with Alex Chen but their side character did nailed well than her XD. True Color sucks but the Wavelength DLC is 100% my favorite for that series. Your video always been so fun and informative to watch. You deserved 1K subs, as the time I am speaking right now. Congratulations for 1k subs once again mate. Good job👍
You forgot the new book Life is Strange Heatwaves taking place after True Colors with Alex and Steph. Technically not out yet but Waterstones is already selling it now and I can say its a good book :D
Comment, mostly to boost your algorithm but i'll add a bit of actual comment for decoration purposes ^^ Nice video, a good help to newcomers. And awesome how you had the correct music of the actual game playing during discussing that game, its those small bits of care that make a video special. In my fanfics im basically doing my own version of the "Max & Chloe after arcadia bay" timeline that includes most "known facts" about them that came from all the games up to and including wavelengths, even doing a prequel about Max's time in seattle as i feel Max gets a lot of hate and no one sees her side.... i already wrote out the timeline and i am slowly filling it out by writing stories about significant periods, so in some ways im happy the comics are not canon..Not that it matters much in fanfic ofc. By the time i am' done we will probably be in LiS 7 or something haha, especially with all the other ideas i get.
Hahaha, thank you so much. I appreciate you paying that level of attention, I was hoping someone would notice if I snuck that little detail in! ;) That sounds awesome. Are these fanfics you wrote publicly posted anywhere? I'd be interested to read them when I can.
Well if you sacrifice Chloe there’s only one timeline again. Choice based games should never have canon that way you can have your choices still matter
I've never even thought of playing the games chronologically. I may give that a shot if I'm ever brave enough to play LiS2 and TC again. Random thought, but with all the excitement now with the new game coming, I'd love to see a collab between you and Noer discussing what the two of you would like to see in the new game, what you think they will and won't do with the new game, and any other tangential theory stuff you can think of. I think the two of you would be great bouncing ideas off of each other. www.youtube.com/@Noer1987/videos
Hello :) VERY unpopular opinion: I think playing the games chronologically on a first playthrough is better than playing them in release order. Just for fun, I let my friend play them this way and it drastically enhanced his overall experience, to the point where he can’t imagine playing them any other way. While there are very clear benefits for release order (no strange plot holes and a more heartbreaking BTS experience), I personally prefer the chronological order :) However, there’s one clear exception: Wavelengths. You can’t actually play it before True Colors, but even if you could, I’m not sure I’d want to because it’s a much longer DLC than the others. Plus, I always want to give both Steph and Ryan an equal chance at love, which would be much harder to do if we learned everything about Steph first ;D (Yes, that’s the one duo where I basically decide by coin toss whom to romance XD) I’m glad you mentioned the additional material btw, since not everyone is aware of it. I wonder if Double Exposure will also get some … probably yes? Anyway, thanks for going over the LIS timeline :)
I have yet to play them chronologically, I've only ever played in release order. Both have their pros & cons, just down to preference. Can't forget the additional material! Thank you for watching, I enjoyed making it :)
Would love a video about the plotholes of Life is Strange! 😊

I suspected that may have been the case, but couldn't remember if you had to complete True Colours first or not. Thank you for confirming this!

Life is strange 2 is so underrated it’s sad probably the best one in my opinion
Life is Strange 2 is great. Dontnod and their art at best.
I'm a month late but this is incredibly helpful especially as I'm playing through LIS at the moment.Ive just finished before the storm
I'm glad you found my video helpful. I hope you enjoyed Before the Storm!

@@Sparxxyy I think you’re going to love it 😸
I know I did
@@DarkYamiThe3RD dude thanks for reminder too, I definitely will get my hands on that one 😂✌️

I think Canonicity isn't much of an issue considering this series deals with multiple timelines stuff
Well if you sacrifice Chloe there’s only one timeline again. Choice based games should never have canon that way you can have your choices still matter
