One of the amazing things about the Bee Gees is you could react to one song a week and it would take you years to get through all of their great songs. I like this one but it's not one of my over 150 favorites by them. The sad thing would be if you missed out on any of them. They're a phenomenon. So is their younger brother Andy Gibb. The 70's were a time of angst and economic struggle - at least in the UK - and the music was a way of bringing escape and joy into peoples lives that was hard to find elsewhere. It easy to think of the time as a time love and partying. For too many it was escapism. I never thought of this record as disco.
