I have both a Muse S and a Mendi. I find it is impossible to which device is improving my focus. In other words, I don't feel an obvious Mendi pull. When I get a good result it is hard to tell what I did to get that result. Nonetheless, I will keep up with my daily practice of 15 minutes.

In the project, I will convert brain waves into motion with robotic coding. For this, I only have a budget of 500 dollars for the EEG device. I thought about using the Emotiv insight model, but things like license fees got in the way. I guess I can't communicate the device with the computer without getting a license. I don't have complete information on this subject, so I'm in the middle for the device I will buy. Which is the best device suitable for my budget for the project I will do, can you inform me exactly how is the license issue for Emotiv insight? Thank you.

    Good evening sir,
I am writing from visakhapatnam, andhra pradesh, my son got left side skull damage in an accident on June 12, 2023. He is now 12 years 10 months old, we are worried about his future condition. It is gone, we are giving the speech again, Babu has undergone a decompressed craniotomy operation, but now we are experiencing a lot of emotional distress mentally, physically and financially. Will the neuro feedback machine you mentioned be of any use to him in the current situation. What more can we as birth parents do...I request you to give me the appropriate advice. . Currently, Babu is praying to God every day that he should go to school and become a child doctor, because he thinks that it is to thank the doctors who gave him a rebirth.
Hope your valuable advice will be given keeping a child's future in mind.

But I think it all depends on the software and how flexible it is and what we can use freely to analyze. But in general, do we have a pointer to this kind of tech, for the purpose of improving focus with ADHD or analyzing the brain function in the light of such brain conditions?

Just do seated meditation. It is free and I can say works better since I have done both. These videos are paid advertisements. Look at Forest Knutsen TH-cam meditation videos. Slow your breath to 6 or less per minute, follow it and if your mind wanders bring it back. You will get results and you won't need to have a wired device attached to your head.

@@PrudentStudent666 I was really hopeful for neurofeedback years ago but have since not been as sure. I don't know that tracking frequency is the best way. I've long thought that looking at prefrontal cortex activation would be the best thing, because supposedly that's what increases with meditation.
That does have me excited about mendi, but I'm not going to get too excited just yet. Who knows if it's effective enough or has high enough resolution to look at what needs to be looked at to increase focus.
I used to do yoga regularly and it changed my life. It takes a lot of time to get a good enough result though and I can't do it enough to get the result I need. To me it's criminal that it isn't prescribed because it's more effective and any combination of antidepressants, ADHD meds and therapy that I've ever tried by idk like a million percent lol.
So hopefully mendi will be better.
I don't know enough about eeg technology but I don't know why they don't just look at overall prefrontal cortex activity. Maybe it's the interference thing.
Still some other interesting products there.

I tried Muse and the birds chirping when your in a relaxed state made me wonder what was going on when it stopped. Was it me, was the device. I finally gave up and just followed my breath and my meditation became much more deep.

    • @andyharris3376
      @andyharris3376 ปีที่แล้ว

I can tell you my routine you should do you research Covid causes you to lose a thing called NAD from what I understand.
The fastest way to repair and safest. Is vitamin B3, niacin, get the one that causes you to flush it’s the safest and suck it up if you don’t like the feeling you’ll get used to it. In the beginning I would take one 500m pill and cut it into four and take it four times a day so I wouldn’t get so much flushing. Also another thing that really helped me was a thing called wild oregano oil so that when I did get inflammation or problems with my stomach etc. I could take that and it helped. do your research it’s like an anabiotic not as strong but do your research again I say. Another thing you need to really look into is to make sure that you are not allergic to milk cheese. Every time I had a cup of coffee it would give me cold symptoms for almost 2 years I just got to where I could have one cup a week and it doesn’t really affect me. Another thing that has helped me recover is doing five minute breathing essential oils in steam water routine don’t you don’t want to do that for long periods of time but five minutes is what they say is safe and you don’t want put too much essential or will cause it’s very strong in the steam water I normally use two drops of oregano and two drops of eucalyptus. Also I had a doctor give me prednisone steroid which helped me when I was having breathing difficulties I hated taking it because they made me feel so bad but afterwards I would always feel much better. My ear and nose doctor suggested Flonase and it definitely assisted in the recovery process to keep the inflammation down because I had a sore throat for a year and a half. There was a group I belong to a lot of people involved on Facebook called corona survivor group there was a lot of good information in there. I know exactly how you feel and I know when you go see the doctor they look at you like you got two heads unfortunately I found out that they don’t have a clue what they’re talking about when it comes to researching something that they can’t read how to fix in a book small percentage of people can actually do stuff like this so you better put your work in and start working on making yourself healthy at the end of the day you’re the only one that has skin in the game.good luck. I know exactly how you feel. I did have some doctors help me assist me the best they could so I can’t say they’re all I can’t be negative towards and that’s what I’m saying.

It deleted brain fog in under 2 weeks but this device is very expensive and I had a rental system. I rented the system for 2 months and I thought the brain fog was gone for good so I sent it back. A month and a half later, brain fog came back :(
2nd, I am taking Curamed 375 mg, which is a high concentration of Curcumin, twice a day. I literally noticed a difference in my ability to think the day that I started taking it but I still feel a little dizzy headed from time to time. Hope this helps

Very nice! My question: If using Mendi or Muse to treat ADHD to develope the use of the frontal lobe, which uses Dopamine, won't I quickly run out of Dopamine. Do ADHD people reduce the need for so much dopamine to focus or maybe the brain starts to make more, or ...?

All of these devices are not a true BCI, to have a true BCI it would have to send information back into the brain. Everyone is always focused on the brain and the head of humans. We need to look at other ways to interface with the brain like interfacing with the spinal cord wirelessly because it is a 1 meter antenna of the body. Stop focusing on the head, it is too protected, focus on other ways to access the brain through the body naturally. If we succeed in this we could develop a brain holodeck environment where we could do anything!

@@taradavis9388 true that the mind when tricked can reap results. In other words placebo. But why would you _not_ do research on both sides? Not just the good and most likely paid for "results" but people NOT paid trying it out and giving their honest results? • @CodyRallMD

Not really. My experience with Alpha-Stim is that it is relaxing but basically makes me feel "drunk" and groggy. Yes I am mostly focusing on direct to consumer technologies here.
