Tako=octopus Yaki=fried. The real Takoyaki is insanely delicious. However you always burn your mouth on them as they’re insanely hot when they’re handed to you. The way they cook them is fascinating. Worth looking for on TH-cam. Makes me miss Japan so much

The name Takoyaki translates to Grilled Octopus. Octopus and squid are only tough if over cooked. If cooked properly they are very tender. Breaded and fried squid (Calamari), if not over fried is one of my favorite things. I also love tender, grilled octopus.
