The more I listen to Jarrett ´s playing, whatever it is, the more profound and enormously meaningful his music and life become to me. What a huge contribution to human kind his music is and will always be.
I'm listening to this again. Keith Jarrett is by far my favorite musician, period. I have been listening to him for a bit over 50 years. And I've been lucky enough to hear him not only on record, but live as well, solo, trio, American Quartet. But, I am NOT a groupie! LOL. I do NOT love everything he has done equally, and there are even things I.........believe it or not!........dislike. Case in point, though I love the beginning of With a Song in My Heart, I don't particularly care for how he takes off on it. That said, is there ANYONE who could play this the way he does? Answer: no. Even though I don't care for the launching out he does on the piece, I simply cannot imagine any other musician with the knowledge of harmony, creativity, level of technique, needed to extemporize like that. Damn. Genius for sure. Mr. Jarrett, thank you for all the beauty and amazement you have blessed with me. I consider myself beyond forunate to have been born into a world concurrently with your music. With affection, an admirer.
Awesome performances from the master. Thank you so much, David. Every time I hear Jarrett play a ballad for the first time I am shocked by how amazing it is, and how unusual his approach (voicings, ritardando, improvised lines, cadences, etc., etc.) is. So lucky to be alive concurrently with his music.
Hard to imagine (for me) what it might feel like having all that music inside and being able to express it this way, with literally no restrictions of any kind...wow...it blows my mind completely!
He plays with such emotion.

Потрясающе, Джаретта всегда очаровывала музыка барокко и романтизма,а тут просто квинтэссенция всего этого.
une douceur exceptionnelle
Amazing talent....the best...so far...
This is a profound improvisation. It seems with a pronounced influence of Bach.
Thank you so much for uploading this. Can you upload more of his solo?
