Seeing Hotrod in black makes me think of TLK Hotrod. But this Hotrod is more akin to his G1 counterpart, which is a plus for me as a longtime fan. And also, I must say, Hotrod and Soundwave make one heck of a duo.
I shipped them both platonically and romantically for the most part but seriously when Soundwave saw red when Tarn beat up Hot Rod… that moment was the best.
Genuinely my OTP for like… the entire TF franchise. Smn about the shift from mot knowing anything about each other than that they’re supposed to be enemies to becoming such close friends that SOUNDWAVE, the cold, calculating, logical Soundwave who only cares about himself, his bird and maybe Shadowstriker, was willing to give up his life for him, is. It’s _crazy._ I won’t say that like, the show is hinting at any romance, but man. It is so easy to make them gay.
It's not really explained, but some people have a theory that she's lugnut sister or smth Devs really loved the design but completely changed the personality and here she is
