Great video! 90% of my life I fished current & tide patterns, I tend to struggle on reservoir lakes. Before you start fishing, look up river stages of the river system & keep up with tide times, that will help. In south Louisiana we have a lot of dirty water like in this video, don’t shy away from it. Bass live & eat in muddy water too. Slower moving dark colors that rattle or knock louder or just plain creates more vibrations & flash like double Colorado spinnerbaits. Fishing moving water with current, bass sit up in the slack water where it’s less effort, waiting to ambush pray. If fishing dirty water with spinnerbaits, bend the wire up away from the hook, separating the blade & hook, this slows it down & creates more vibrations because the blade has to spin in in a wider pattern. I also had to add, Gerald Swindle told me the same thing years ago about finishing the cast you just made then think about the next cast. Sometimes that’s easier said than done tho, lol.
This is what separates Ben from all of the other fishing channels. Real honest content! Keeping it real! I love seeing the big bags being caught but also really enjoy watching the grind to get bit!
It’s fun in Florida fishing on a kayak. Then you hear that sound coming from a 10-12 footer. It’s a big loud splash. And it’s creepy as hell on a kayak
Years ago when I 1st went to Florida I was a kid and had no idea gators were even there and fell out of my kayak and luckily some guy fishing was watching out for me and pulled up to where I was in his boat and jerked my ass out of the water while pointing and yelling about 3ft behind me some gator was coming for me. If it wasn't for that guy I wouldn't be here today.

I couldn't help but laugh when those gators took off and you were like, Nope! lmao! Gators won't bother you, when they make splashes like that it's them running because they're scared of you. You'll find some that will chase your bait and maybe even come up to your boat, but most of the time they're young ones thinking you're throwing food, or maybe a larger one that someone has fed before and is coming up hoping you'll throw it something to eat. lol.

@@MillikenFishing lots of bass and crappie. And gators. Lol. It’s a pretty cool place. Most of it is about 4 ft deep and there are tons of different ways to fish for bass there.

I've lived around alligators most of my life. A full grown man/woman has a much greater chance of getting killed in your vehicle travelling to the fishing sight or turning over in you kayak and drowning than you do from an alligator attack. Now, three year old children walking along a shoreline of a water body known to harbor gators is an entirely different story.

It’s kinda cool watching you have to break down new lakes in a new area with a completely weather pattern than the Central US

I fish a lake with gators that's kinda close to the 6th warehouse and they're chill. You should check it out! Some nice quality fish, trolling motor only for boats.

We fish around gators all the time here in Mississippi. If you don’t mess with them they usually won’t get within 20 yards of you.

Man I live in east Texas and I can take you to 3 big bass places. They are absolutely known for huge bass but with over fishing I have certain areas that they are loaded. You should come check it out one day.
If you ever get to north Texas you should try Lake Leon it's not a big lake but it's full of big bass.
