I love this one and keep going back to it even though I'm utterly terrible at it 🤷

There's such a thing called the 'It-Gets-Good" curve where, once you get past a certain point, you pass a vague threshold where it takes so long it's just not worth it to thug it out anymore.
Also I personally agree that there are valid reasons for dropping and not starting games, among those is bad communication of game mechanics. "You played wrong" well the game never told me how to do it right and wasn't intuitive enough to understand it instinctively. I thought we play video games for fun and not for googling how to play it.

yeah I'm with you, I think that some games consider the learning experience to be part of the gameplay, and that's what makes them fun to learn, and other games, like Onion Delivery, determine the learning curve to be something you get over in order to play the game.
That tied with the friction of high-reflex based obstacles is basically all of the ingredients that make me frustrated. When I read intention in this design, it is especially frustrating because I see it as a form of petulance. "you're not having fun because you haven't learned the language to play the game properly but the process of learning that language will be painful on purpose"

This game I really wasn't expecting to like, and then I somehow fell in love with it after a couple hours of play. All the collisions and slipperiness make it a zany action slapstick game; I became glad that it was balanced for you to be constantly smashing into things just cause once you learn to manage with it, it's funny. When you get good enough at Onion Delivery, it can be incredibly fun. (Part of the key to that is *you can drift* and the game *should* tell you that because good heavens does it help situationally.) It's definitely not for everyone though, sorry you hated it the whole way through. (Took me 4 hours to get a win, I hope it took you less since it was misery...)
P.S. The storm is by far the worst day in the game, feel free to flip it off for me.

this game gives me a overbearing feeling of "I'm impressed at how mad i am, and mad at how impressed i am"
like, this game fully convinces me that i must be a masochist, because how the fuck do i keep gravitating towards a game that is just _objectively_ unenjoyable
...until you've mastered it (which i am _far_ from doing - haven't even completed it once), at which point feeling nothing equates to tranquillity
it's just _something,_ about the music, about some component of its gameplay, i don't even know, that tears me apart and rearranges me - it feels like a curse

This game might have the most intimidating cherry requirement. There's no way I'm getting 50 onions. Getting 35 was so hard in the first place.
Edit: I did it! I got exactly 50, and had to keep score on my phone as to not "over-onion" for no reason. I had multiple last-second saves, and the final onion was placed right near the end. I got very lucky.
