Its sad it is so financially expensive to find out about our own personal history & ancestors, even when more than willing to invest personal time & energy to do it. I have a few late family members who devoted many years of their lives to do so, only to reach a dead end, that there was no way round other than through, which made it too expensive on their limited budgets, thus gave up. So as much as I have loved watching this and following the unfolding of the history of the famous, I agree, it would be very much appreciated in making this opportunity availae to every day folk who would genuinely lovd to uncover their family history as many of these werent really that interested intially, just went along for the ride in the beginning, rather than embracing it as a privilege. I personally wonder if it may help humanity become much more concienscious again, in being aware of where they come from and a greater respect for what their ancestors learned experienced & gained wisdom from as the elders of their day. May even stop repeating the same mistakes & again start respecting that the Elders of our day, may have more wisdom than we have knowledge of as we seem to have been stuck in a cycle of repeats & redos through the recent generations.
Well said👍 I agree completely that if the average citizen on the street is given a chance to explore her/his roots, all of us will have better understanding of the troubles and tribulations that our ancestors had to go through and at the same work towards in building a more inclusive and tolerant society...
