Yes it's not the greatest quality Tanzeela but this was done on an old cine camera year ago so just think youv'e traveled back in time and can now be called .a time traveler ,Best wishes----------------John

Yes it was Cyril and Cissie Payne at 31 Prince St, my Gran and Grandad. Wow, what a small world it is :-). I vaguely remember your shop as it was, but I think my Gran mainly used the newsagents over the road. I notice the old barbers that my Dad took me to, opposite Prince St, is still the same in looks, even though it is not used as one anymore. Later on my Gran used the newsagents shop on the other side, your side, it may have been yours or another one, it was when an Asian family ran it. I know she used the greengrocers your side of the road, I remember going into that numerous times, plus Firkins the Bakers. Oh happy days, It is sad to see how ghetto-ised it is these days!!!!
Hi Ian we were the opposite side of the road from the greengrocers and your nan was a regular customer of ours .as you say the pleck is now unrecognisable it's so sad to see it the way it is now.Best Wishes John
Yes that's right, I remember she eventually decided to go with a newsagent over on the other side of the road and was with that one until her death aged 100 yrs in 2003. Would you like to meet for a chat and a coffee at St Pauls Crossing one day ? Coffee's/tea's are on me :-) !!!
