By Jove, takes me back to my early twenties. Here I would have been twenty three and remember the old blue West Midlands Travel and orange Chase buses! The old bus station - better than the chaotic current one. I recall the 991 to Lichfield, as I used to catch it, in addition to the 392-396!

I remember those single deckers with the radiator on the back, could see fan spinning, came in early 70's, caught a few to school. I think they are still around.

Which would make me three, as I was 23 in 1993!

The Birmingham Coach Company which florished into Diamond bus, the only one of the independents in this video still going today.

Can’t believe that chase bus with the number in the driver’s windscreen was allowed surely it would distract him

Great footage but it's clearly 4.3:1 stretched to fit modern widescreen.
    Someone didn't care for Lynxes.

Ahh yes, when Walsall town was a place to be proud of. Not anymore. A lot has indeed changed - for the worst. Paid parking meters, one way road systems, pedestrianisation, immigrants, high unemployment, empty shops, street violence, I could go on. As a former resident of Walsall I cannot recommendation highly enough that you get out NOW and let ‘them’ fester in this cesspit. Value your health and well-being by not moving to this town or visiting it for shopping. Sorry to be blunt but those of you who ‘know’ will understand what I’m talking about.

You are right of course but sadly its not unique to Walsall. You could be talking about anyone of 60 towns or cities in England

But even in 1993 I recall how people were sick of the town,I had a friend from the Pleck area, he said it was referred to as the "dirty neck".

Look at the pollution from some exhausts, lol. You still see it now from some buses. Not changed much. But we all have to go electric for the climate, Bollocks.😇
