Sorry to bouther you , Was there any books or video about the carving class that you took,or is there a book or video that you would use to study carving? Thank you for your help John
Hi John I will ask David for suggestions. I did the course but had no books per say. In about a year when i get much better i will be doing a video on carving. Lets see what David says. Best regards Kevin
Here is davids advice “Gosh, Kevin, there are a myriad books out there! I suggest looking at photos of good carvings, analysing them (as you've been doing) and just go at it. I don't think that there are any shortcuts to become a competent carver. Just reading about it ain't the same as doing! Also , a lesson or two on sharpening and honing tools properly. My only other suggestion is that if it's human or animal figures, get to study anatomy and go to life drawing classes. My own background of anatomy sure helps me carve figures!”
Thanks Kevin for the video! Do you know if the site of David Antscherl and Greg Herbert (Admiralty Models) is temporarily or permanently closed? I can't access it.
Thanks again for a wonderful video Kevin

Good video (as usual), thanks. I envy you that trip to the basement of the Naval Museum, are there anymore photos of the McNarry ship at the end?
I have a few but these are the best. I had the wrong lens for this type of macro photography
Thanks Kevin for the video!

I spoke to Greg Herbert and he was not aware that it was down. He is looking into it now.
