Seeing that Ultra burrow itself filled me with ceremonious delight. Really brightened my day.

Man, the way Dark played this game is really impressive to me, because he used such a broad range of units to take advantage of weaknesses in Astrea's army composition. So many pros at the highest levels, people like Maru and Serral, it feels like it gets to a point where they just make an army out of whatever their 2-3 favorite units are, and they just kind of lock in, ride or die. But, Dark kept shifting, pivoting, and kept changing his tactics;
go into vipers to counter the carriers and draw out the high templar, go into ultras to counter the high templar and draw out the Immortals, go into zerglings to counter the Immortals and eat away his infrastructure, then back to sniping carriers when he's distracted, and when he can't afford to re-max. He let Astrea destroy half of his bases, because he knew he could kill his bases faster, and that as long as he held onto his main mining bases and rebuilt his infrastructure, he'd win in the long term. The patience in his play is so cool
Part of it is because he's more efficient fight than Astrea and thus has more upgrade. He has all ground and air 3 at 21:40 while Astrea only have attack ground and air 3, his upgrade allow him to has wide range of unit. That's my theory, i am not expert

Dark really uitilised EVERY tool at his disposal
I love that hearthstone card for Astrea. Soon eventually I'll be able to make a 30 card deck with these players.
5:43 makes it sound like he's the best tiny protoss player
Dark's play is INCREDIBLE this match. He knew Carriers are a rich man's unit, so he traded half his bases to make it a poor man's game! Only when the carriers were useless he started fighting, and Astrea's pivot was too little, too late.

Dark is probably my favorite player. He isn't the best zerg player, but he is there only zerg player that can use every unit effectively.
I don't know if Winter cast this game or not, but there was a game where Dark went mass Brood Lords and would attach his own Broods to get more out and then send Broods across the map so he didn't have to risk the Brood Lords.
This game reminds me of Serral dominating a few years ago.

@@jaybee8862 snipe either needs to cost more energy or do less damage. Even with upgrades they just one shot ultras and broods 💀
Question from someone who mostly plays campaign here, but how much of a difference would the armor and shield upgrades that Astrea missed have made here?
Barely used warpgate units for the main battles, so probably not a ton?
@@leonardooriano5794 I thought shield upgrades apply to all units AND buildings. I always saw not getting them as the same as a terran not getting neosteel. Its like why not que them up when you are starting to float money after maxing?
Yes it made a big difference in Zerglings vs Zealots during Dark's counter attacks.
Isn't astrea the guy that proxy a Nexus on a professional game?
Don't recall seeing him do that, but definitely remember sOs pulling that for a win.
@@jamrock7631Yeah it was SOS vs Bunny. Most ridiculous win i have seen. Nexus in Bunny's base > probe > pylon > proxy DT warp-in > win. Lol
Could Astrea have better chances if he mixed speeed voids with his armada? Voids are the only counter vs mass corruptors, not archons.
I think the Archons do more damage than Voids when the Corrupters clump, and Voids are more vulnerable to Hydras and also to Parasitic Bomb and Fungals. I think that's why he chose Archons. I think a couple Voids for some added DPS would have been nice though.
I just root for Zerg, lol. I guess I do find myself wanting Scarlett to win more often than not, but I generally just root for Zerg, and if zvz, I root for whoever plays more like a hive of hungry bugs. I'm a simple man, lol.

God I'm getting so tired of people complaining about Ghosts and no one saying anything about Vipers being one of the top cost effective units in the game 😒
Another game Toss probably wins if Vipers couldn't yank litearlly any unit from any race across the screen with no cooldown. "Here, free kill!"
How do you combat skytoss without them? Like actually? mass corrupter while they have archon and Templar?
