I'm an experienced editor but there's always new stuff to learn. Thanks for taking me step-by-step, unlike most tutorials, so that I don't have to figure out what you are doing between major steps. Appreciate the big value add getting hours of my life back!
I’m looking at doing video podcasts again and I was looking at getting a switcher setup so I can cut the video while recording (either a sumo 19se or a Blackmagic atem mini iso pro) but this plug in might do the job and a lot cheaper! Thanks for the tutorial 👍
Whoa, what a brilliant plugin! I’ve been looking for something that does this! Two questions: 1. Is there a way to edit the audio and have those edits reflected in the video cuts; like, edit in Audition for fine editing on the podcast audio and have those deletions show on the video file. 2. I use a stream deck at the moment which cuts live BUT it’s a big job to do for three guests, including myself, on 4 cameras! With the Atem, the cuts are registered in an xml and can be changed. It’s a whole extra step though, especially during the show recording/performing! Is there an Autopod feature set that changes to the speaker camera when the mic is activated during a live stream? The post show editing with Autopod uses the volume on each audio track to switch cameras; is there a live version or a method to do this with Atem hardware/software? Cheers man, great video!
Ya I saw the challenges of live switching. You should be able to take the audio into audition to fine tune. I would duplicate the multi track and mute it in premiere just to make sure you have a backup. As for live integration I am not sure. I just record everything separately and it works very well!
You could to remove the dead breaths between but if you have just one camera angle you don’t need much Editing or camera switching. Just add your into/outro, cut any spots where you screw up and you are good
Just using this for the first time after seeing this and other videos on the extension. Pretty impressive, but I have been having problems with the software giving up on making cuts after a few minutes of video when I have the enable/disable option turned on. When I have it just make cuts, it seems not to get tripped up. Is this an issue you've run into/found a fix for?
I have found using low frequency helps to avoid this and cut less. You may also try using an auto gate audio feature so the software doesn’t detect talking from small breathing or little noises as well
Hey! Great video! Watched this one a bunch of times! I'm having trouble with the frame starting at 0 - Autopod says "All video tracks must start on Frame 0. V1 does not start on Frame 0." - have you seen this at all?
Yep! Make sure all of he layers for audio and video start and stop at the same time. Then, go to the front of the timeline am d make sure all of the clips/sources are starting at 0:00 and there is no dead space at the beginning
This was incredibly helpful. Thank you. Just one tweak... maybe take the background music out. For example... when you were showing us what the audio sounds like after you put the denoiser on, I couldn't here what it actually sounded like because of the background music.
Having issues where my audio and video are not synced up after merging them. I went in and synced them and then unlinked it. It turned worked but never synced with my Main cam angle. Please help!
I just used Autopod for the first time today and everything works correctly but it makes cuts to my audio tracks too. It doesn't delete or disable anything, just puts cuts on the audio tracks wherever there are cuts on the video tracks. It makes it hard to edit the gain on large sections of audio because now there's a ton of unwanted cuts everywhere. Why is mine cutting audio tracks when literally no one else on TH-cam has that happening?
Not sure! An option would be to make track gain adjustments to the whole audio track in the audio panel or make your audio edits before doing the multi cam operation with the extension
Also make sure to select all of the audio and video sources and unlink them before doing the multi cam so the audio layers aren’t linked to the original video clips. That is probably your issue
Hi, what happens if I do the first layout in my computer, my premiere, my autopod subscription. And then I pass along the premiere project to another editor who doesn-t have autopod? will the cuts remain in the sequence?

That’s what it’s all about!
Wow. Super powerful tool. Thanks! I am definitely going to give this a try, as we currently edit our show in Premiere.
I love it! It’s a great tool

Happy to help! I also explored live switching and prefer doing it in post
@@ryansnaadt Yeah I think that might work for me as well. I'll let you know how it goes!
I subscribed simply for the value you provided. Thank you!
Glad you liked it!

Can you use This software for single camera podcast?

Does it work with an extra shot of both speakers?
Having multiple wide angles will make it less accurate but you can specify which speakers are in each shot too

Noted!
Having issues where my audio and video are not synced up after merging them. I went in and synced them and then unlinked it. It turned worked but never synced with my Main cam angle. Please help!
Ya it's od sometimes. I like to unlink all layers, and ensure that there are no tails sticking out on either end.

Yes cuts will remain if someone else edits after the sequence has been run
What do I do if I only have one audio track? As in both mics were recorded into the same mono channel.
You will need separate audio tracks so the software can detect who’s talking
@@ryansnaadthow do you separate the mics? I use rose caster pro to record my podcast
Hi does this work on premiere 2021??
I am running 2023, works well.
What if it’s multi cam and your solo?
I would save yourself the hassle and just do a single angle if it’s a solo podcast
Great video 🎉 but the background music is kinda annoying 😢
noted!
Man, so I use a podcaster so I only have 1 audio source. Trying to figure out how it can work
I record on a Podtrack P4 and it works great
@@ryansnaadt Sorry I meant rodecaster
@@directorfriday just make sure you are not using the stereo mixed audio but the single tracks from each mic
