I have been scouring TH-cam for videos like this, thank you so much!! Very well explained, and I love watching the process like this, I've been using this channel strip for a bit and still learned SO MUCH from this 🤘👏
I’m glad somebody is actually breaking it down I was going to start up my actual channel and help people who’s trying to understand when it comes to making music makes mixing in mastering and plug-ins and interfaces and channel strips Cetra Cetra but keep doing your thing man ain’t nobody really doing this I’m glad you’re doing it I just subscribe you 🙏🏾
Love it! As a bus compressor for the mix the api 2500 and ssl bus compressor are top shelf for that duty! The mbp is definitely a mastering piece but definitely does the job on the bus best piece of gear i have purchased in a while
Do that! Would love to work on it. Kinda missed myself lol! Share the word staying on it this time around youtube is a huge part of connecting with people! Keep me posted:)
This video seems directed at those with great familiarity with an entire D.A.W. system. You're using terms with which some of us have zero familiarity (side chain?), and while I'm sure you felt your explanations sufficient, to those of us who are novices, they really served to explain very little, if anything. All I took from this is that by moving various knobs, you affect the sound (which I understand is the principle objective), but anyone from any walk of life with access to a D.A.W. can make that determination without the slightest inclination of what they're doing. You didn't really explain the FUNCTION of each section and the various knobs within or the reasons why their use would be implemented. Some of us require details and specificity, without a single thing being skipped over (which, strangely, you did near the beginning of your "tutorial". Why would you do that, when someone who might be at a novice level stumbles across this video in the future and could benefit greatly from even the smallest details? Very disappointing, brother.
Underrated video. Controlling bass is powerful. Thanks.
