Thanks for the guide, some of these tips are very helpful. One thing to mention for the awakened skills you showed... You can either make that gun awaken a recoil or reload. If you get the reload, put four recoil mods, if you get a recoil, put 1 reload and 3 recoil mods. So at the end of the day you want 1 reload and 4 recoils.

tysm for the aquashot lbg build (u shared it on stream the other day too) 🤌 been farming with randos on ps4/5 lobbies all week. when I get a group that knows what to do it's SO nice. having aggro 24/7 is a struggle as the hp drain makes me feel like i'm made of tissue paper, but hey, max doomej comes at a cost I guess 😆 got maybe 20 - 30 clears with the build now. fkn legend u are mr lord!

For the build part you should address, for those without fatalis gear, which top 8 skills/decorations to prioritize and bring along. Most armor sets will only have around 8 decoration slots, only roughly half that of fatalis gear. And for those who have fatalis gear, the guides are less valuable than to those just beginning the end game grind or new to this fight. Thanks for the guide though
How do i get attack+4 for the sets? I'm starting to belive my game is bugged or something. I've done hundreds of tempered elders, tempered furious rajang and fatalis and still havent gotten one.
not sure, they have very low drop rates. try "The Wrath of Thunder Descends", it's a MR6 event quest against zinogre that has a higher drop chance of the kinds of decorations that Attack+4 jewels can drop from
not at all, some of the sets have safi gear sure, but the armor is the easiest part to get. you have to farm Safi a TON to get all the weapons and to get dracolite to awaken weapons, literally hundreds of times. you'll have the gear after like 5-10 hunts. i listed TONS of tips and outlined how to do the siege (no matter your armor) efficiently with the CC chaining, the area 1 skip, the flash dunks, etc. To belittle this guide to "use safi gear" is a ridiculous understatement
@@LordViettner i think your missing the point, your recommending post safi and safi gear for a guide on how to beat safi(someone fighting safi for the first time probably doesn't have a vor buster from fatalis). the whole point of the video is to teach you how to beat safi efficiently. I'm sure there are other videos you've done that give us more tips but the point is, the videos demographic is dedicated to those who haven't beaten safi yet or are really struggling. it is possible to beat safi without safi gear and I really appreciate the tips and the in depth guide. its not that big of deal but I think bro just wanted some recommendation on pre safi gear.

Alternative sets are something you can make on your own if you used your brain a little but is most likely not the most optimal speedrun/consistent safi kill.

probably, but it’ll be really hard and likely you won’t be able to do a full energy clear. this is a guide for a group edit: apparently they added single player scaling a while ago and I didn't know, it's pretty easy to solo with Aquashot in one run, shouldn't be too hard to do in 2 runs with any weapon
I can solo, full energy, one run it, but it takes about 17 minutes. This is without flashing/interrupting it when it goes up for the nova. I know others have done it quite a bit faster I mostly use something close to the aquashot build he showed. Because he is always looking at you, I tenderize the front leg (either side) and pierce the 2 legs (front to back) It is really important to pass the first level as fast as you can. I push him to the vines as quick as I can. I have 1197 kills on Safi at the moment, I'd say 800 or so of those are solo.
What level MR can fight Safi'jiiva. My MR 116, guiding lands level 4 no quest slay safi'jiva. There is only the Investigate Safi'jiiva quest. there are no follow-up quests Can you help me
MR 24 I think, if safi isn’t available it’s probably because kulve taroth’s quest is out. they switch every 2 weeks, so 2 weeks of safi then 2 weeks of kulve etc
Ty for the info. I'm a returning player who used to do P1 Safi with some friends, and we prioritized getting all partbreaks but we would often get close to the time limit. So I know it's possible to get max rewards in a single run, but I wanted to know your opinion on whether it's better to prioritize the kill rather than the partbreaks. Do you think in the long term, the faster kill times would offset the less rewards from not breaking everything?
it's definitely possible, if you're cool with cutting it close then partbreaks are the way to go. It's pretty easy to get level 12 or higher rewards if you play it right, especially if you're in a group where you're able to communicate what you're doing. with randoms it's a lot harder to get people you don't know to coordinate specific part breaks
it, and Kulve Taroth, are the only 2 quests that still rotate on a schedule. It's Kulve for 2 weeks then Safi for 2 weeks, etc. Should be back either late Thursday night or Friday next week
Trying to solo him at full energy without Fatalis gear and the hammer. It is about as hard as Extreme Behemoth solo without Fatalis gear and Extreme Behemoth is harder to solo than Fatalis due to his mechanics and scaling. I need all the hope and luck I can get to do this. I don’t know even know it is possible, but if I do this, I might be the very first person in the world to do it, because everyone who has ever solo’d him with a hammer at full energy has had Fatalis fear of some kind.
I have no idea if it is truly possible, but I would be a monster among men if I made it possible. Even with strong RNG, the farthest I got was to 2 energy drains on the final level before he escaped. I have seen a couple people stun lock him with chest knockdowns in supercritical state, but my DPS without Fatalis gear just isn’t high enough to pull the same stunt off. Also, do attacks while he has emnity use energy like the MHW Wiki says? I feel if that was the case, his energy would be depleted way faster than I ever was able to.
Just an update, tonight after farming for the health regen and attack augments, I finally got to see the skull icon before Safi escaped. I am so close to doing it without Fatalis gear, that health regen augment was merely evening the playing field. I solo’d extreme Behemoth as well, but I never thought that it would come down to full energy Safi as the final monster for me to beat without Fatalis gear.
@@LordViettner One good way is that you "prep" the sleep and para when he's doing the dropping rock animation, he cannot be CC'd during this animation, so it's a good way to maximize the status so you're ready to drop him once he tries to nova.
valid criticism, in my own defense, only 2 of those sets use Safi parts/wepaons; and you'll definitely finish farming the armor before you're done rolling RNG drops for all the weapons you want. If you want more progressive sets for each weapon, I've put up a lot on my channel this year covering various stages of master rank for each of the 14 weapon types!
Do you always need a ranged weapon for this? Never liked using ranged weapons as I've never been a fan and most people don't just casually have fatalis armor sets to get through safi.
For some reason the Kulve taroth siege never goes away in my game. Preventing me from accessing safi jiva, even though i've beaten Alatreon and fatalis already..
1P scaling is exactly 1/2 of 3-4P scaling, it's definitely doable but much more difficult. I don't hate myself enough to try it xD especially not when I can sub 10' a single run clear with a random group

capcom started a movement called "Return To World" over the holidays, the game was massively discounted , so there's lots of new people, and World/Iceborne is hitting higher player counts than it did during some of it's actual updates! tons of people playing + lots of new people = perfect time for refreshers and guides :D
it doesn't require ranged weapons, they just make it easier (like every hunt in the game tbh). you can poison, sleep, para, KO, and flash without bowguns too

Safi still good if you need an aquashot LBG still, ele dual blades/bows. Otherwise just get to work on farming fatalis

Yes, Safi scales for solo but it'll be extremely hard

Last night, I made history and defeated Safi Jiiva full energy without Fatalis gear. I finished my story after 2 or 3 years!
Wasn't it 5 sleep ammo to sleep. Not 4. And para is 4 to proc for sure.

no not at all, you can easily do safi with melee. the LBG just is extremely strong and makes the first area skip super simple
