This makes me miss my WWP15! I had it when I lived in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. They are really great little boats. I sailed her around the keys and on lake Okeechobee...good times, good times :-)
We slept with two 6’ tall men in the cabin during the Everglades Challenge. The only issue is that you generally have to throw all of your other gear into the cockpit to make room in the cabin!
I love the story and the sailing venue; getting to see the NC banks sailing. Suggestion for future videos: please make an effort to brace the camera more steadily while filming aboard.
Steven Hartman Will do. One hand for the tiller, one for the mainsheet, one for the GPS, one for my coffee cup, one for my sandwich, two feet to brace myself against wind and sea, but right after that, “brace the camera more steadily while filming onboard”. 👍

Agreed. Sailing would be much less annoying without the sound of wind. But I find that it’s important to include such glaring flaws in my videos in order to inspire others to get out on the water and do better. I also spend nothing in terms of time or money on equipment, production, or editing. I’m a sailor. All my money gets wasted on boat parts! Fair winds!
Boring voice! Needs to lighten up a bit and get out of the wind. Need more about the WWP15 and its accommodations and how you camped. Did you sleep on the boat or pitch a tent?
LOL. Thank you. I was aiming for “boring”. Also, “getting out of the wind” is not really the point of a sailboat. Always slept onboard. A West Wight Potter is a nice little “pup tent”.

What a great outing. Love the beach camping aspect with these small boats. What's the tow weight on your Potter 15 and trailer?
Thx! Boat is around 600 lbs so with trailer and gear, figure something around 1,000 lbs or less.

I believe the boat you are referring to is the "Toon 2" designed by Jim Michalak. Plans are available on Duckworksmagazine.com
I know this is along time ago.. The trimaran with a shack on it.. Do you know how its made?
It is a Hobie tandem island with custom designed aka pods. Owned and designed by an engineer named Steve Dahl.
