This one has become my go to, I wear it almost every time I go into the woods unless its really cold and then I wear the 350. Works great across temperatures.
first lite is amazing my favorite hunting clothing company hands down. As someone who's around 6 foot 4, they are actually cut long enough for me which is rare.
I rock a wick long sleeve, kiln long John, kiln hoody, cold weather first lite socks. For tree stand hunting I wear all that under my solitude jacket and bibs set. And then for active hunts I wear those base layers with the corrugated foundry pants and uncompahgre foundry jacket. Best technical hunting cloths on the planet imo
The Furnace model is extremely warm and comfortable and in my experience more suited if your doing a lot of sitting. Will be getting the Kiln model for this coming season. And the reason I purchased the Furnace last year, was due to your reviews on these. Good job.
Great job George! I have the 250 long johns and the 150 shirt. I love them. My absolute favorite base layer. Even bought my sister and mom 250 long sleeves shirts. I wear mine for hunting, skiing, shoveling, etc. I've even used my 150 on hikes in the fall. It wicks sooooo well. Keep up the awesome work work, love tuning into to the pod
Thank you so much! I have been considering getting the 150. Maybe next season, gotta build up the cash reserves some lol. I did get a Sitka Merino 120 as a Christmas present this past year. I plan on doing a review for that soon. But the First Lite is actually more comfortable.
Hi George. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and get me a set of merino base layer this season, are merino products created equal? God bless you and go get them in the marsh.
Hi Jeff, the good news is that I have not seen many brands making cheap quality merino. Some only give you like 20% merino, which I don't think is worth playing with. You want 85% or more if you are paying that much. I think First Lite makes the best merino base layers in the business but I have not worn all of them from all the top companies. There are lots of folks out there that make good ones like Smart Wool, Sitka, Icebreaker, and more.
In the teens, I would get the furnace. These are better for when you are moving, or warmer days. I started with the furnace, and did a video ok them. A year or two later I added these to the mix. But I would probably go with the furnace for those conditions.

Yea, I've been very impressed with their stuff so far. Things just fit and move so well.

FYI: First Lite sale ends today, but Kiln products are all 20-30% off, along with a ton of other products.
Really? I should have posted this video sooner! lol.
Looks great! Really fits you well, too.
Thanks!
Keep it up!
Thank you!

@@TheNewHuntersGuide thanks guys, sounds like first lite has it right, that's what I will go with
Would you say these are good for sitting in a tree stand down into the teens? Debating on these or the furnace. I can’t afford both sets lol

What size top is that you’re wearing? Do they seem to be a snug or relaxed fit?
I'm wearing a large. It's relaxed.
Does the velcro eyebrows come with the purchase?
Ha, who says that in a TH-cam comment?
You ever use the Kiln as a midlayer?
Never have so far. I don't have anything that feels better as a next to skin layer than this so far.
You wearing them next to skin?
Yes indeed.
