Yes, its lovely to see the French letting these places fall into disrepair and having people from other countries come and fix them, Its really a travesty you donut

I am always so happy when you post a new video from Chateau Dampierre. Everything you have done to the chateau itself and the gardens which you have described here is a testament to the results of intense thoughtfulness, research and organization. The gardens you have taken us through here today are stunning and have been realized so very quickly. I am sure that all of your viewers are pleased that someone like yourself has taken on the task of bringing this chateau not only back to life but also to a flourishing state. I am also impressed by your command of the English language. Well done for those of us poor pathetic people who have not reciprocated by learning French!
Your commitment to quality and exceptionally refined taste continues to excite. Please know your videos are a refreshing tonic for me and all of your subscribers I have no doubt. It is wonderful to see your design ideas and the restorations realized. Thank you.
I’m always excited to see a new video for this channel. Antony has such exquisite taste. This is a great inspiration. Looking forward to your next video!
With all the videos on chateau restoration this video reminds me that landscape and garden design is the chef's kiss that makes the magic of a chateau. A beautiful garden that is well thought out is both meditative and romantic. You can really lose yourself and think you are in another time with a beautiful garden. Also it's such a creative art form. I enjoy the very intimate parts of your gardens and the wildness of the forest near by. You are creating an environment people are going to love going to for generations to come, what an amazing legacy.
There is a shrub called escallonia they have a similar look to box but are easier to look after... They have small flowers and a not unpleasant smell... Really enjoy your channel, keep up the amazing work you are doing on your spectacular home!!
Greetings from Canada. So pleased to see another video. Love the gardens. Four of my favourites, Roses, Hydrangea, Peonies and Magnolia. A very charming video and, if I may say, a charming presenter. Looking forward to the next one.
So glad to see your garden taking shape in the traditional French fashion. Yes, here in the Nigara Region of Ontario Canada are having the same problems with the boxwood moths so we got them taken out and replaced them with lavender that is still blooming. I love your videos and look forward to the next one. Greetings Irene. ❤ /
Very beautiful. Thank you for the update. I love everything you have done. You have a beautiful chateau and you are doing it proud. I hope everything goes well for you.
So Good to see you and your gardens again! They are Beautifully conceived and planted. Seeing glimpses of your chateau inspired me to rewatch all of your videos. Thanks for your inspiring and thoughtful presentation.
I am so very happy and delighted to see the greenery ...how beautiful..love your design aesthetic and choices...of the plantings..keep taking your time to get it right..just love the lower garden behind the gatehouse..wonderful results ...love what you are doing❤
Always entertaining. Some channels show a lot of the action, but somehow with you, your explanation(s) is equally as entertaining and informative. Thanks.
Cheers to you and Dan on a job well done, the garden is BEYOND glorious... a reflection of you, your exceptional style and demanding quality standards. (Thank-you for sharing your fascinating and inspiring chateau restoration adventure.)
Stunning!! The hydrangeas are gorgeous and bring so much light into the "darker" garden with their color. The bushes look great since you were able to buy them already so big. Thank you so much for sharing. Can't wait to see more.
Beautiful, beautiful! Secret garden so peaceful. I love your attention to detail. I loved when you did the little skip, hop like a child prince playing joyfully. Can't wait to see what you share next time!❤❤❤
I absolutely love your house and channel. When you didn’t upload for a while I was so bummed. I am glad that you are back. I make video of castles, palaces and grand estates here in Sweden but your chateau is breathtaking. Thank you for saving it and putting the care and attention such a marvel of historic design deserves. Can’t wait for your next upload. 👏
It's always a tremendous joy to see a new video from you. The attention to detail, along with your exquisite taste, makes watching your videos an absolute delight. I'm a little greedy as l would love more updates from your Chateau. I'm greatly looking forward to the tour of the remainder of the garden. Thank you. It's just stunning.
Beautifully done garden. I really like the lower height of the taxus on the last gate. I hope you don't leave the large taxus herge top straight but play with the height somehow. Mayhe heigher next to the gates to indicate that there is a break in the hedge. Topiary is so forgiving that you can experiment. It will allways grow out
It is all looking so beautiful and so calming with shades of green and white. Our wisteria has 4 at least flushes of flowers a year so hope yours do the same. Your attention to detail is spot on. Thank you so much for sharing the passion you have for your Chateau👏👏👏👌❤
It turned out beautiful as we all expected. I felt a little inspired to visit the place and feel like a princess for a few minutes and sit down to read a book there on that bench smelling of jasmine. I feel excited every time there is a new video, as if the place were my own. I think restorations have that "magic" of transporting you through history and transformation. And I love castles of course. ❤
The French have the most beautiful gardens ever, I love how your property is coming along,it looks fantastic! So nice to see a piece of history coming back to life instead of sitting and decaying. And to own such a centuries old place must make you proud, it's beautiful and I can't wait to see what happens with the main chateaux itself. I like your idea for the kitchen, can't wait to see that in progress eventually. Best of luck always and please keep us updated. 👍👍
The white flowering Lamium is an excellent and long flowering ground cover that stands out. Also good in shade is the white flowering persicaria. It takes a while to establish…but is long flowering and trouble free. For edge of forest another lovely good spring white shrub is Ribes Little court, the seedling was found by a friend of mine. It looks like a chandelier. And for later in the year the white gFushia Hawkshead , it is the delicate flower one not the hideous ones! A carpet to the edge of the forest is cyclamen, especially ones with good marking in the leaf. I do enjoy seeing what you have done, thank you.
With the bird water feeder. It is a good idea to put some rocks in the base so smaller birds do not fall in and get caught in the water. Especially if the sides become slippery. Lovely style of the garden.
Le jardin est très beau. 🎉❤🎉❤
I must say, you have an attention to detail that highlights and compliments your elegant taste.
The garden is simply perfect, intimate and simple and sympathetic to the chateau. I look forward to seeing the renovation of the chatelet.
You've done a fabulous job! You must be proud of your accomplishments! Thank you for sharing this adventure!
Well done gentlemen. I must say it’s a dream.
Wow the gardens are perfect! Like they've always been there 🥺
Thanks, missed you!
I am so happy that French citizen owns French chateau !!! Please , let it be more of you !!! France is your country , it is your cultural heritage!! ❤

The majority of châteaux are owned by French people. They just tend not to have TH-cam channels.
Also they are expensive I am sure French people are happy they don’t turn in to disrepair

Like in Brussels , French people will be a minority
I adore the special touches like the gates and the topiaries that serve as markers to the forest entrance.
What a treat it always is to open my TH-cam channel and find you've posted a new video. The Chateau looks beautiful.
I love that you see the joy this all brings him and that his has an appreciation for it all.

Handsome Guy, perfekt Garden
I visited the Cloisters in New York years ago and this little parterre reminds me of that cloister garden.
What a beautiful, romantic garden!
C'est fantastic, comme d'habitude!
The little Garden is beautiful, great job. Will be a pleasant view standing by the windows. Hi from USA.
I'm ready to move in to the Pavillion :) What a magical garden.

Your garden is so stunningly beautiful and I thought that your description of the trunk of Wysteria was perfect.
Beautiful design and plant choices. Thanks for the update 😍😘
I loved that, thank you so much, looks like home now❤
Lovely. If you put a rock in the middle of your bird bath with a bit sticking out you can provide a place for the bees to drink also 😊
