    Not stoned. We now know he had Alzheimer's. He wouldn't do shows by himself anymore he always had one of his children or his wife with him.

    He was years into his illness even here. I would guess the very start of it, could have been as early as 2000.

    I don´t care if he makes mistakes, or his daughter...I don´t!, for they are in a position to be acknowledged for their deliverance, simple, honest with zest and gusto! God give us more artists like him, like Glenn Campbell

    In case there is any doubt, she sings very very well, the comment about the lozenge in her throat is true, not an excuse. And together, they sound sooooo good.

    For someone who was always so well groomed, Glen went off the deep end with this awful hairdo. I can't help but wonder who decided that would be a good look for him. Nevertheless, I love this man. Always will. I'm thrilled that my life span intersected with his and I was enriched by his wonderful talent. Not to mention that I got to behold his good looks!

      Yes, I know that he was in early stage at that time. He was so amazing as a talent before and even after he had full-on Alzheimer's.

      Idk what your talking about, remember that bit in the 80s when he had nothing but a nasty slim truck driver mustache, it's awful, or the early 80s when he had that crazy hair, although I guess that was the height of his dark years... I guess it is a bit more worrying here, as he was completely clean at the time, nothing but underlying health issues or simply bad fashion could get in the way here...

    There were a few red flags that could already be seen here of his eventual Alzheimer's Diagnosis, even though it was 5-6 years before a definite diagnosis. I only notice things because of going through it with my mom and by seeing some of his behavior on the farewell tour. I've watched that so many times now. Alzheimer's is such a horrible disease. Those who are there to pick up the pieces are the ones it's so hard on, and for anyone who doesn't "get" "I'm not gonna miss you", watch the documentary, it's on Netflix, very open and honest.

      Love him. The doctor told us that the patient knows it 5 years before you do and they hide it as long as they can.

      When was this interview done? He wasn't having a "good" day. I'm sole caregiver for my husband who has Alzheimer's and I can tell Glen wasn't himself - appearance, unsure if who sang what part, etc. Such a horrible, horrible disease.

    • @lisaguardiola6667
      @lisaguardiola6667 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BeckyTMKZ Not necessarily so. My husband wasn't diagnosed until 2 years ago and I can say, in my experience, Drs don't know anything for sure. It was extremely frustrating at first because I expected SOMETHING from Drs, but they know nothing. My husband,to this day has no idea he has a Disease that's taking his life a minute at a time.

    Interesting era for his hair, always love seeing the many different styles he tried out!
    Edit: YOO, wish we got more of Time Flies! That's awesome! He never has even recorded that song! Interesting to know he had obviously worked out the chords at some point! Awesome.

    BEAUTIFUL..... Love any interviews any footage of Glen Campbell whether performing, or interviews... Love when he was always with his daughter Debby. He still today, and, will always be close to my heart...❤ Even though now in Heaven with the angelic choir... His music I listen to almost daily. God Bless him for giving us all those years. IMHO, the best guitarist there ever was. And, that voice pure and So Beautiful, what a vocal range. Glen, You are So Loved and missed ❤
