Fantastic information! Man, I wish I would've found your channel before my audition; I would've avoided so many mistakes that I made and that you warned us here. Also, I admire your generosity to share the drum charts. My instrument is the electric guitar and I wish I could find a guitarist with the experience that you have who'd be willing to share the guitar charts. I once asked a guitarist who had worked on a cruise ship if he could share a few charts, but the guy wouldn't give me the time of the day. Thank you for sharing this information, it certainly helps a lot.
Ahh man that’s made my day! Thank you so much for the comment and taking the time to watch it! I always do things to try and help my colleagues out there chasing the dream too! So glad you found it helpful mate!
Really awesome video, this one and the other ones - exactly the information I needed, as well as inspiration to practice until getting the job. Thanks very much dude, and keep it up!
This is great, thank you for sharing this info. One question. Did you ever have any interactions with Landau music? i've had a few auditions through them and just wanted to know your thoughts of them.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad this was useful. Was there anything else you’d be keen on knowing? I can make a video on whatever people would like to know too! As far as landau and agencies I have no idea as I never went with one. But I have friends who go through proship and landau and they seem to like them just fine. For me personally it’s best to go through the company direct as the agents take too much money per month. Hope this helps!
Hi, I would like to know how many hours did you practice your sight reading every day before the audition? I'm preparing for these auditions. Thank you
Haha it’s hard to say how many hours. But I did practice a LOT! Read charts every day for a year basically and played as much as I could! Good luck my friend :)
For most rock bands I’d say you can get away with lyric sheets, but certainly for the shows you have to have an understanding of sheet music yes. Hope this helps
