Thanks so much for creating that amazing video! I used to be a drummer and band leader on cruise ships for a couple of years in the early 90s and this would’ve saved me a lot of time. I just picked up an iPad and forScore and have started using it using it for the different types of gigs that I’m currently doing. I hope you’re having a good time out there and getting some time to practice. I remember on the ships that I played on I could rarely practice because the showrooms were used during the day for buffets. Can you imagine being out at sea without any Internet or any cell phones? I love your British accent and the constant swearing that every real musician does! Do you use a Bluetooth pedal for page turns or just do them with your hand? Thanks again and take care.

After painstakingly entering the lengths of all the titles, I would be interested in how I can display the length of a set list. As an example, a set can be 50 minutes long, which titles make the most sense.

Thank you for this amazing video! I’ve been using forScore for years for concert readings of new musicals, and it’s been a godsend. My one wish is that they allow moving bulk pages in the rearrange tool, in addition to individual pages. With new shows there are constant rewrites, and being able to move a bunch of pages at one time to a particular place in the full document would be extremely helpful.

Dan. I am watching your video and enjoying your comments about the life of a modern cruise ship musician. I played drums from 1973-8 out of Miami with RCCL and Commodore on the baby ships! 18,000 tons, 750 pax and 300 crew. Our contracts were 9 months on the ships and we didn't have any rehearsal time pre contract. I'm surprised that you didn't mention fraternizing with the passengers which seemed to occupy much of our time back then!! lol Other than that you did a great job on the video. Congrats and good luck.

There's nothing else like this online (that I could find) that goes into so much detail for drummers, so thanks for a fantastic walk-through! I've watched some of your other video's too, which have all been really useful. Particularly the colour-coding on charts👌 Quick question: When writing your own chart using the manuscript template, Forscore seems to pick-up on the ledger lines and start filling in extra's and drawing other random lines and going a bit crazy? Have you come across this or know a work-around? cheers

Do you have any recommendations for notation software if I want to write out some drum beats, etc, via the pencil (and possibly have it convert into "real" sheet music notation - or can FS do this as well)?

Awesome job of executing many different styles (the most important thing on a musician I think besides technique) I was on the carnival mardi gras last year. I saw all drummers were using edrums (roland vad) to be specific. I guess it was too loud for the venues or they switch to or from acoustics?
