89-90 is just right rating for Saros. He is great goalie, elite almost. But he isn't on the level with guys like Shesterkin, Sorokin, Demko, Oettinger, Hellebuyck, Vasilevsky, Swayman
@@Perkele-u5k no they aren’t vasi has been brutal the past two years and otter doesn’t have the same track record as saros and saros has done it on way worse teams
THANK YOU about Forsberg! What’s even worse though is that he has no Zone Ability, he absolutely should have Close Quarters, 30 out of his 48 goal were from the area right in front of the net. I disagree about Josi though, he’s one of the best year after year, he deserves to be top 3 and above Heiskanen
I agree, and despite Brayden Point being my favorite player, I'm not a huge Kucherov fan. But, the fact he got a 95 when he had a better season than MacKinnon, on a worse team, and Mac got a 96. Just kinda stinks.. I think to at least make it fair, is to have Kuch as the only 95 Foward. Knock Pasta and Panarin down to a 94.
99 overall doesn’t constitute “the best player in the game today.” Because 99 is as high as it goes, it should be reserved for literally perfect players which can’t exist. Imo, NHL does it right while all the other games all over rate their guys
I agree Connor is gettin a little too much love but to blame it on health makes no sense. Guy played 82 games in 22-23 and missed just 17 games this season. Not a health thing, he just isn’t as good as Forsberg
I've seen people say J.T. Miller should higher rated than Barkov. In my opinion they are pretty close. Both are great two-way forwards. Barkov might have slight edge on defensive side of game while Miller has bigger edge on offensive side. Both could be 93 rated.
For real. Kaprizov is better offensively and defensively, far far far better in transition, Kaprizov's puck protection game is far better and Kap wins puck battles at a much higher rate. The only things Tkachuk has on Kap is his forechecking and his ability and willingness to lay the body far more often.
Mackinnon 95 accel and kucherov 93 accel is a joke. The fact that mackinnon has like 200+ more 20mph speed bursts than any player in the league including mcdavid and doesn't have 99 acceleration. They should have a separate category for how much faster he is than everyone. 2 miniscule points over medium speed players is disrespectful.
I think the problem is probably more how EA weighs certain stats into the overall, what it views as actually important, because in all reality, someone like Matthews should actually have a fairly low overall rating if you are talking purely stats, its all in IQ, and how he shoots that pushes him up. I dunno its really weird to me.
Matthews had nearly 70 goals and is arguably one of the best defensive centers in the game. He deserves that rating and maybe even more if they went to 99
@@jimmyhockey I get what you mean, but I am saying I view matthews as kind of a Larry bird style player, where we are talking about a dude who if you put his stats on paper, hes not the fastest, hes not the toughest, he just gets it done in a way that makes it almost seem easy. A lot of these ratings are inaccurate imo. There is a way to set these overall properly. I don't know who in the company takes care of it.
