Quick question, being we’ve been able to do all of this why not just develope something to get rid of the plaque? Or can that type of plaque not be treated once it develops
My question is, where does the plaque go with these types of drill? Unlike the newer Rotarex drills, it does not seem that they suck/remove the plaque out of the body? I can be wrong
so the procedure is like coil embolization for aneurysm, but the different is you use balloon to expand the artery and then putting somekind of mesh to hold it together, not only it saves time, it also less invasive since it doesn't require an open surgery
I had this procedure done 3 days ago, I was home the next day, the only pain was when the doc's were inserting the tube into my arm vein, and a funny feeling when the dye was flushed through the artery, no pain at all!
A few days ago my dad passed away at the age of 56, stents were put in his heart years ago. But he never checked the stents after that and just kept buying and taking the same medications. He also kept smoking cigarettes and lifting heavy things. If you have stents in your heart don't make any of these mistakes plz. :(
This is tricky as the plaque has to go somewhere ? My belief is that if it is dislodged from the artery wall it will deposit somewhere else in the body, maybe causing a stroke or worse.
I had this procedure, twice in the span of three days, and I would like to had a few comments: First, the needle in the artery hurts like hell. Second, I did feel the guide wire and the catheter moved inside my arm. Third, it's not "discomfort" when they inflate the balloons, it THE worst angina you will feel... for me it was worst then the heart infarction.
My mom had 99.8 % blockage doctor at first thought she should have blockage as she was 36 doctor assured my father to go meet your wife meanwhile the nurse brought the report that my mother had blockage and she has to immediately admitted for the angioplasty...my father told me the doctor ran from 6 floor to 3rd floor to stop my father before he leaves...that evening my mother was taken to the icu and angioplasty was done...guys if the operation wasn't done that day i would have never seen her again 😔😔😔
I really hate when doctors use the "Age argument" I once got a weird stroke but doctors were like "Oh you are young healthy guy it cannot be anything serious" Later they found traces of some vein problem in my brain that needs to be scanned every 4th year.
I've got two questions: 1 while the balloon is inflated, does it block the blood flow? 2 why isn't the stent, and the balloon attacked by white blood cells?

How do they choose which atherectomy procedure to do? Why use the ballon procedure over atherectomy? Does the plaque continue to build up over time and cause the artery to burst? Can the plaque left in the artery break off?
Incredible! ❤
This is very helpful channel for all medicos

This technology saved my father's life😊
We Dutch don't call it "Coronary Artery Angioplasty". We use the verb "to dotter"... Like "I'm not going to work next week, I'm getting dottered on monday"
Is it possible that the stent would move? Also anyway to remove the plaque buildup?
I don't think there is way, if there was one why would doctors put stents?
These edits are amazing thanku
Had this procedure done 2 weeks ago after I had a heart attack. Marvellous treatment.
Hope you are doing good. Can you let me know if the procedure was painless and how are you doing now
@madhusudan7660 It was completely painless and I'm doing absolutely fine now. Keeping up with my medication and exercising but not overdoing it.
Are you in the US? I'm having it done on 6-19-2024. Very scared. My heart is hurting so bad, but I am allergic to aspirin, so I had to go to an allergist and have an aspirin challenge to reverse it before surgery. The wait is horrible
@beachgal2023 Don't be scared, you won't feel a thing and you'll feel so much better afterwards.
@@Dav_m160 Thank you for your kind words. This all started 12-4-2023, 6 months later 3 cardio's, 10 scans, countless bloodwork. I hit the jackpot with the 3rd cardiologist. But I never thought I would be here. 70 yrs old, pescatarian diet, runner. Dr said it's genetics and Hashimoto's. I just want to feel better. Have a great day
Woah, this is amazing...
What happens to the blocked arteries? Are these blockages removed during sergery
Best innovation !!!!
Quick question, being we’ve been able to do all of this why not just develope something to get rid of the plaque? Or can that type of plaque not be treated once it develops
Heart needs to be opened for that but it's a risky surgery therefore most people prefer this only
*inserts wire into the heart from the arm* "you may feel some discomfort"
Never felt a thing and I watched on the screen.
My question is, where does the plaque go with these types of drill? Unlike the newer Rotarex drills, it does not seem that they suck/remove the plaque out of the body? I can be wrong
thank you i learned a lot from you
Had this done 2 days ago. It hurt like he'll in my arm. Still does. Can't use my arm for a week. But I'm alive!!!
Are you doing well today?
Good luck those who are having trouble with heart diseases!
so the procedure is like coil embolization for aneurysm, but the different is you use balloon to expand the artery and then putting somekind of mesh to hold it together, not only it saves time, it also less invasive since it doesn't require an open surgery
Amazing video 🙄
Isn’t the stent would be a site of adhesion for potential thromboembolism?
FUCK i felt that wire travel from the hand to the heart. STAY HEALTHY PEOPLE
Does it feel good though?
I had this procedure done 3 days ago, I was home the next day, the only pain was when the doc's were inserting the tube into my arm vein, and a funny feeling when the dye was flushed through the artery, no pain at all!
After angioplasty will be their any pain in heart for a week?
A few days ago my dad passed away at the age of 56, stents were put in his heart years ago. But he never checked the stents after that and just kept buying and taking the same medications. He also kept smoking cigarettes and lifting heavy things. If you have stents in your heart don't make any of these mistakes plz. :(

I had this procedure with a stent being inserted on 5th May 2022. Home the following day. Amazing what they can do these days!
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
@@edithbannerman4 I'm doing fine thank you Edith!
@@paulclarkson1778 great how’s your day going and what’re you up to?
Vou fazer cateterismo prá com está o entupimento das artérias, sou obeso e ainda fumo, tô muito preocupado
This is so good to know!
Thanks for a very clear explanation
I have one question though: how can we remove the plaque out of the coronary artery?
medications and lifestyle modifications that you make should dissolve the clots/plaques in the artery
This is tricky as the plaque has to go somewhere ? My belief is that if it is dislodged from the artery wall it will deposit somewhere else in the body, maybe causing a stroke or worse.
Please explain what is Rwma and treatment for it
Isso é muito incrível, muito legal
Is it possible to remove the plaque, like you remove the tumor?? I think it's better than having a stent in your artery. Can anyone please reply. 🙏
but that is more risky and complicated and would require an open heart
you have to remember arteries are like very thin and is it right next to the heart that is constantly beating
They can mount a laser/sawblade on these same tubes but its risky.
I had this procedure, twice in the span of three days, and I would like to had a few comments:
First, the needle in the artery hurts like hell.
Second, I did feel the guide wire and the catheter moved inside my arm.
Third, it's not "discomfort" when they inflate the balloons, it THE worst angina you will feel... for me it was worst then the heart infarction.
😢😢
I personally know 3 people who have had this procedure. All 3 of them said it was painless, and they are All doing fine now!
Lol stop trying to scare people. My dad has had this done twice and said he felt nothing.
@@tupakkaonhyvaa People have different pain tolerances
I guess that's why his surgery hurt a lot
@@YTshashmeera that's why preprocedurally patients are given benzodiazepenes (Diazepam or clonazepam) to help calm them down
These videos stress me out, but I also watch them a lot
Amazing... Thank you.
Thanks a lot for sharing this important information🙏🙏🙏🙏
My mom had 99.8 % blockage doctor at first thought she should have blockage as she was 36 doctor assured my father to go meet your wife meanwhile the nurse brought the report that my mother had blockage and she has to immediately admitted for the angioplasty...my father told me the doctor ran from 6 floor to 3rd floor to stop my father before he leaves...that evening my mother was taken to the icu and angioplasty was done...guys if the operation wasn't done that day i would have never seen her again 😔😔😔
I really hate when doctors use the "Age argument"
I once got a weird stroke but doctors were like "Oh you are young healthy guy it cannot be anything serious"
Later they found traces of some vein problem in my brain that needs to be scanned every 4th year.

The procedure is very common and low risk for most patients. Let us know how it goes!
Update??
I've got two questions:
1 while the balloon is inflated, does it block the blood flow?
2 why isn't the stent, and the balloon attacked by white blood cells?
white blood cells arwe too small to make a diff
Umm.... white blood cells attack pathogens only, to what I know...
WBC attack metals and plastic?🤔
because in most cases the stent is coated with a drug which allows the tissues to grow on it
I don't think white blood cells attack metal
Good tecnical surgery it is ... But what happens if the stent will move from one place another ... Is this is possible
