I belive Warrior culture was the very first religion of humanity. The huge power found in technique, discipline, fearlesness and sacrifice. Dominating all of earths mightiest creatures, and even conquering other cultures.
It involves ethics, sacrifice of life, time and effort for purpose of greater plans, severe self imposed limitations and trainning, reveared by the poeple only below kings and leaders. It constantly looks for metaphors (quotes, phrases, etc) realted to fighting into everyday life (like Kung Fu does). It involves a very structured system of ranking and heirarchy and one of the last bastions of true respect for Master/Aprentice. There were even goods for this particular activity... there were no Gods of cooking or painting, but yes sir there were gods of war.
You can place a general as his army side by side with the Pope and his army of priests, and you could see the endless similarities.
There's a big difference, warrior culture never dipped into people's private lives nor used shame to control people's personal choices (outside of discouraging cowardice). It empowered people by promoting courage, resilience and self improvement, in ways that religion was far too busy telling you to abase yourself to do

Ni Khanom Tom was born in the sate of Phetch Humdang in the town Maehe-Dumjung.
Ni Khanom Tom was a typical rice farmer who got captured during the war between the Burmese and Siamese. The Burmese captured all of the villages and the marched for 6 days back to Burma. But on the 6th day that morning they started their march as soon as the sun rised and were expected to reach Burma by dawn.
With a stroke of luck one of the Burmese soilder orders Ni Khanom Tom to collect all the food from the slaves and put it in the box as it was time to march.
As he was doing what he was told some pigs had gotten lose and started to take off. The Burmese soilders ran and tried to catch the group of swine. As Ni Kanom Tom was walking back he slipped, fell into the mud backwards bumping his head and fell unconscious covered in mud making him invisible.
When Ni Khanom Tom woke up he was all alone. Surprised he started his way back home. On the 5th day Ni Khanom Tom reached his home village only to have met villages and soilders from the neighbouring village.
They asked him how was it possible that he was the only one that was alowed to be set free. The villages thought Ni Khanom Tom was a snitch and the reason why the Burmese was successful was because they had inside information.
Ni Khanom Tom was embarrassed on how clumsy he was and fell unconscious into the mud. He thought that story wasn't believable so he made up a story about how he had defeated 10 Burmese fighter to gain his freedom.
Ni Khanom Tom was his nick name, his real name was Jeffy Thomas Bolo or Jee Thobalo.

Well Ni Khanom Tom wanted to sell socks to go along with the shoes and he did make a decent living but not long after he opened up a restaurant selling "Krem-O-Sa-Man-Gai".
Legend had it every November the 8th when the clock strikes 12am you can smell the "Krem-O-Sa-Man-Gai" in the town Maehe-Dumjung
