Was denkst du wenn ich nach meinem ersten Gong Rise direkt zum Sirus wechsle? Zu schwierig oder benötige ich besser noch eine Stufe wie Fluid oder Veloce dazwischen? Danke für deine Meinung.
Gute Frage, die mir schon einige gestellt haben. Ich kann leider nicht so viel dazu sagen, da ich vom X-Over zum Curve XLT zum Fluid XXLT und dann erst auf den Sirus gewechselt habe.
Was ich dir sicher sagen kann, dass du den Fluid und den Veloce auslassen kannst. Man kann mit ihnen pumpen, aber sie sind meiner Meinung nach nicht zum pumpen konzipiert wurden.
Ich würde es einfach ausprobieren. Der Sirus ist super und selbst wenn es noch zu früh ist, kannst du dir immer noch den Curve kaufen und dann später auf den Sirus wechseln. Wenn du bei Gong bleiben willst, ist Sirus mit Abstand der beste Frontwing zum Pumpen, wobei ich die neuste Generation (V3) von Curve, Fluid und so noch nicht ausprobiert habe.
Do you notice any difference in technique when launching off the dock with the various Gong Front Foils?
Not sure, if I understood your question right. I launch all foils with the same technique, the only difference I perceive is how early and how much the foils already lift while pushing them and how precise your technique needs to be. The Curve allows quite some mistakes, the fluid is not that generous.
Depending on the construction of most docks I can`t start the Sirus with a running dockstart, but have to use a jumpstart because the span is too wide to hold it fast enough away from the dock to not scratch the wing tip.

@@FoilingPastor Is it way harder learning to dockstart with a jumpstart using the Sirus XXL? I ask because I plan to be learning with this foil and may encounter the same issue
@@AdamsHadEnough No, I think it is possible to learn with this foil. It will take some time, but the dockstart with the Sirus XXL is much easier than with the Fluid XXLT or Curve XLT.

Soll vielleicht den 1310 PNG ablösen, mit dem ich bei nicht ganz perfekten Startbedingungen, immer noch Schwierigkeiten habe weg zu kommen, mal sehen.

Würde mich freuen, wenn dir der Sirus XXL auch so Freude macht wie mir. Das einzige wo ich noch etwas schauen muss, ist die Frage wie schnell sich die Schrauben an der Fuselage lösen. Im Moment nutze ich nicht die richtige Länge und manchmal werden sie etwas locker, wenn ich nicht sehr fest anziehe. Habe mir noch längere Schrauben bestellt und hoffe, dass die Schrauben dann nicht mehr locker werden.
@@FoilingPastor Vielleicht mit Schraubensicherung Mittlefest mal probieren?
@@reneschmieder21 ich werde es mal mit den neuen Schrauben passieren und die längen mal tauschen. Hatte bis jetzt noch nie Probleme mit Schrauben bei Gong.
I think your Board has nose up, you should use a board / mast shim to make it more horizontal
very interesting thought. How much difference do you think will that make?
@@FoilingPastor impossible to say, but you should definitly feel more confortable and your board should do less ups and downs and be closer to the horizontal.
Same thought here!!! Light riders like you with big frontwings need to shim down. I am 65 kg and even with (only) a Sabfoil Leviathan 1150 I need minus 1 degree shim. Look at your foot position: both feet in front of the mast. You will feel better, trust me.....

You mean that I should place both feet a little bit more to the front?
