An increasing number of 2024 Chevy Traverse and 2024
GMC Acadia owners are reporting that their third-row seatbacks are unable to fold down because the headrests on those seats rub against the second-row seatbacks.
With the headrests touching the second-row seats, the third-row seatbacks cannot fold flat into the floor, reducing the nominally available cargo space in the back of the vehicles.
The General acknowledged this problem with the 2024 Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia with Bulletin number
PIT6184, issued on June 7th
, 2024. GM notes that the fix
for the problem is replacing the third-row headrests with new headrest components that fit properly and allow the seats to fold flat as designed.
However, no replacement headrests are currently
