It’s interesting that, other than Superman’s interactions with his dad or Lois, there seems to be a theme here, in the teaser anyway. He saves a little girl and a little boy is calling him. The adults are jaded and angry. Is as if Supes is protecting children who represent innocence and hope, children just GET Superman, and he is saving them. Not saying he won’t save anyone else, just something I noticed.
Love your reaction. This is the Superman I have been waiting for. As important as this film is, I just don't believe James Gunn hasn't looked at this from every angle, given huge consideration to what would aid in bringing as many iterations of fans as possible to see this movie. I don't believe the man is going to drop the ball now. I know the rush of hope, the silly smile on my face, the tears in my eyes, the goose bumps on my arms, all of these took me back to watching Christopher Reeve fly that first time. All those elements are here, with a bow on it - meshing old and new and I am here for it. I think as we watch our own planet struggling, shifting and fighting back as best it can, so very many of us wish that Superman could magically appear and save the day. 💙❤️💛
As a Dunie, I LOVED when you said ”Arrakis” (I had the exact same thought at that visual ;) ). This looks grand and hopeful (let`s remember that his name is ”Hope”). It looks fantastic. .Hopefully, all these 32 billion characters will make sense in the movie. That said, apart from the spectacle, what I did feel was that the movie might have a soul. Here-`s to July 11 ! Will be watching it with my Dad. Well, Dad is in the fortress of my memories now, but he will be in the theater with me :). Nice reaction. Cheers ! :)
By watching reactions and reading comments etc there is one desire that is clear in people. People are sick of the realism aspect as to not look uncool and real world issues and dark themes etc. And they especially do not want such things in Superman because to people Superman is hope and kindness and selfness and generally the best of us. He is a beacon of light, the original superhero. He can be old fashion cringe and a silly boy scout and bring a smile in our faces. Superman isn't suppose to be edgy and anti-hero etc. Such roles are for those that came after him looking around for different angles to do superheroism. Superman can't be that because he is not just a hero, he is the super in superheros. The one that represents the values of pure heroism. The one people shout the name of when they are desperate for help, the one that can never let them down. Superman is the symbol of the morality of heroism and he should be represented as one. If some people want edgy they can go elsewhere. Do not ruin Superman for those people. Thankfully now people are finally sick of the hopeless and edge. We have reach a time that our world is dark enough that we are sick of it and we want back the good old simple pure stuff. We want hope and optimism and that is the perfect time for a hero like Superman to appear again and show us just that.
I completely agree 💯 percent, superman has always should be all about hope in dark time's, I know this is just a teaser but it and the guitar riff on the main theme gives me hope and joy
The kid with the flag got me as well, as did the people chanting 'Superman,' because we haven't really had any superhero movies about hope since the Christopher Reeve Superman movies. There aren't a whole lot of civilians in the MCU, which is one of my criticisms. It's a universe where only superheroes and supervillains exist. Christian Bale and Robert Pattinson did a great job with Batman, but Batman was always motivated by the need to overcome his own demons. Altruism wasn't really his thing. Henry Cavill's a fine actor, but Man of Steel was far too angst-ridden. It looks like James Gunn is the first director since Richard Donner to figure out that Superman works best when you put him in a world where people love him and need him.
This is the Supes we need! Humanity, Compassion, Hope, and Strength! So excited for this movie!

I'm not sure why the view is so less? You certainly deserve more.
Love the feel of the music and the overall sense is that it has potential to be brilliant. Great reaction.
