I'm so glad for your videos I get to know about so many bands and the second I got to listen to Glare's music I just fell in love. GREAT VIDEO THANK YOU
Thanks for the heads-up on Glare, that bands sounds better than a lot of the original bands, I'll be keeping an eye out for the album whenever they put one out, and the same goes for Glixen, they sound great as well. Have you heard Pinkshinyultrablast or Nature Heart Software by Pia Frausif not, give them a go. I'm going to see Slowdive after the holidays, I've wanted to see them for a long time, I can't wait, shoegaze can never die, because good things never die.
lol i backed up a kid doing a solo set who was opening up for glare. Happened about a month ago. They were alright. Friend of mine who'd never heard shoegaze called them "loud minecraft music". She still bought a shirt though.
Like Glixen a lot. Do check out Deary who have only two ep who I have seen four times now, live they are superb and also The Churchill Garden are fab too
One of the most underrated shoegaze bands of the early 90s is Curve. All of their releases are great, but the best imo is 1993’s Cuckoo. I can’t say how many times I listened to that album. It is well worth your time to give it a listen. Definitely on my top 3 albums of all time.
Catherine Wheel, some Deftones, Malory, Majesty Crush, Ozean, The Radio Dept., 24 Gone, The Verve (1st album), Swervedriver. Check out a relatively new band called Deserta, the song "Hide" is so good.
I have a question and i figured here was an alright place to ask. What do you think of the shift in sound from Daylight to the Superheaven albums and then to Webbed Wing? Im curious on your thoughts on it since no one else is really talking about it.
@@startervisions nah. it doesn't sound like Isn't Anything at all, i've seen them twice. it's zoomer tiktok rock. it's its own thing, but i will agree the entire genre is extremely derivative. there's like 900 bands and maybe 8 of them are good.
Glare was so disappointing Live. Genuinely the second worst show i've been to. It's not like im a super fan, but when every opener blows you out of the water you are doing something wrong. nice video.
i’m friends with both glixen and glare, super down to earth and creative people from both bands. well worth a listen
glixen the homies
they are super sick fr
Awesome video, Brotha!

Funny she said that because there’s a video called “Minecraft music but it’s a shoegaze banger” haha
Just found your channel at random, this was exactly what I needed this morning.

I haven’t seen Glixen live. But I think Kraus is one of the loudest shoegaze bands out rn lol my ears were ringing for like 2 days 😵💫
Luster and they are gutting a body of water give similar vibes as mbv
Great video!

@ab8817 ...I didn't say "Isn't Anything"
@@startervisions well that's the year that album came out so wth else would you have meant
Gotta check out downward and cloakroom
Zoomergaze
copyright this
nobody ever mentions early dandy warhols. play dandys rule OK, skip first two tracks and start on the song “ride”, and then just let the album play.
Here for impact
Are you a fan of the Swirlies?
hell yes
Glixen ❤️🖤
glare sounds like unreleased and early slowdive
Glare = whirr

No one ever talks about Scarling.
