This was my bro's first model kit alongside the Metalgarurumon. He *loves* Digimon, but the amplified kits were not to his (nor my) tastes since they weren't the original designs. I'm so happy it got him into model kits, and recently he has gotten a few Gundam Wing kits as his first Gunpla. Right now he wants to get his hands on the whole Wing team and some random kits from all sorts of Gundam series. Been watching The Origin and the MSG movies with him the fam, and I'm really happy they've been enjoying them.

Why would Bandai not mention this in the manual? There's a line across the forearm you can chop and BOOM: Full gauntlet swivel. Reminds me of the RG Sinanju that has a hidden waist/ab crunch mod that requires a snip.

Tip: slice the arms on the crease under the bands to get more articulation! Super easy mod, almost 0 work, but a huge benefit.

Something you should REALLY note with this WarGreymon kit is that the arm swivels are actually designed in a way similar to Gundam front skirts where you can split the arm in-between the grey strap of the dramon killer to unlock an arm swivel. There's a video on Actar Raikit's channel showing this off. I think it's a really important mod more people need to know about this kit after they buy it because not enough people know it exists.

Bandai didn't really cut corners to those hollow parts, it's made that way so that it won't have any weight issues with those claws :)

My partner is a HUGE Digimon fan and this was the first thing she ever built. Looking forward to you covering more digimon figure rise
They make a metal decal for this figure that really makes it shine. There is also a lot to replace the claws with a translucent orange, as well as slashing effects. After getting those two expansions, this kit has a MUCH stronger shelf presence
This was my first actual model kit. A pretty good introduction for beginners
I'd love to see what you think of the Macross kit. I'm kinda curious about myself. Granted I've only really watched Macross Frontier and am in the midst of the original (yes I know blasphemy but I've been having way too much fun with Pokemon Violet as well as Nanoblocks and Gunpla in general)

I'd say go for Alphamon, it already looks pretty amazing. When it comes to that WarGreymon's gorilla arms, you can actually circumvent that problem with an extra cut in the part under the thing that holds it onto the arm. Put a nice clean cut there and you'll be able to swivel it for a more natural-looking arm.
The furai model kit looks different and it would be interesting to see a review of it. On the other hand, I also have the Atlas Gundam in my backlog and seeing your review the kit before building it would be amazing. More power to you, Mecha Gaikotsu!
I wouldn’t mind a upgraded version of this with better possibility, especially the arms. I did clip the crease where the dragon killer connect to the arms to give him a pseudo wrist swivel but would love a upgrade that has a proper swivel designed and switchable hands.
The amplified version has a little better possibility
Atlas for sure. Bc the stickers are really easy to align i think the kit would be interesting to review by modern standards

I feel like im hopelessly outnumbered already. but the zeon living around mars who captured and repurposed that f90 were probably equally outnumbered, so sieg zeon and let’s see that F90 Mars Zeon version

You can make it slightly better when you cut the arm section and then assemble back the arm gauntlet..after that you can twist the gauntlet..

Until the amplified series can make a functional or better protag-mon kit again, the figure-rise standard kits are decent, affordable, and a nice quick kit to get my weekend plastic fix while I'm working on more in depth plamo projects.
I think the figure rise amplified kits are the ones that are a bit more intricate. Standard kits are just very simple, anime accurate designs
6:33 I put my Zaku III Custom in that pose at it hit it just as good, if not better. The only difference between kits is that the Zaku III is from 1999.

For me, it would be a coin toss between Alphamon and Windblade, but since I recently did a Transformers themed custom using a Nuke Matrix kit, I'm leaning more into Alphamon for your next review.

You've never done anything Macross, so I say do that next, unless you really want to have something for good size comparisons for it. Second choice would be Wind Blade. She's just plain awesome.
Re-review the atlas and probably all the thunderbolt kits and i mean all of them like the psycho zaku and the zaku with the big gun set i love the thunderbolt designs so i would love to see your review of the hg thunderbolt kits

Hey mech, I was just wondering if you'd cover 3rd party add-ons since there's a lot of them. Like metal frame for MG kits, ( Freedom and Sazabi metal frame ). MG sazabi metal add-ons. RG Hi-Nu Fin Funnel effects and RG Hi-Nu Susan HWS. There's literally tons of 3rd party add-ons which are not too shabby waiting to be covered.
I hope to. After trying out some metal hips for the Freedom 2.0 I would love to try some more quality 3rd party add ons

I'm not surprised, the Digimon Standard line is more of a budget line in comparison to the Amplified ones.
