  • In this interview, I chat with Sharon Stopforth, a Certified Integrative Body Psychotherapy Practioner, about the wisdom and insights she gained from going through the dark night of the soul. Sharon speaks personally and professionally, as she's been a counsellor for 23 years. Sharon specializes in addictions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and abuse. She's a Certified Integrative Body Psychotherapy practitioner.
I love how she vulnerably shared her story in this interview. It was inspiring to hear how literally the "jaws of life" shifted how she was living her life and how trauma, anxiety, and depression have deepened her connection to something bigger.

Finding this video was a wonderful gift from Spirit 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Sharon, your description of being in “that place of surrender” and that it's not resignation was so very important for me to hear. I feel such a sense of relief to hear you both discuss what I've been feeling.

This is the same process that happened to me in summer 2021. Still in it to some degree, but much less intense. I was also an academic and then had to find a new path. I didn't have a near death experience though, my biggest trigger to awaken was seeing that one of my friends needed a kidney. Herself being a mother of young kids, I put myself in her shoes for a second and began to realize how fragile life and how important loved ones are. My fears made me disconnect from life sometimes but I think that's the lesson here, to be brave enough to come back and push forward with so much more love💗 thank you for sharing this video. I felt crazy for so long!

Thanks so much for sharing with us here! So inspiring how you allowed your journey with your friend to touch you in a way that resulted in you needing to find a new path. I know what courage that takes!! It's also beautiful how you described the ways in which you became open to so much love! So many folks feel "crazy" and it's why I'm so passionate about hearing from folks so that we realize it's a deeply meaningful experience. Thank you!
