One of the great things about your videos is that when you try to fix things, lots of times, they don't work at first. You show the reality of trying to fix things yourself by trial and error. It is great when you fix the problems and we actually see the reality of the process instead of a short-form, sanitized, unrealistic version. Outstanding job! I enjoy your videos very much!
I would definitely be nervous about going to Mexico at this time. I love watching you 2 keep living! Also I live at Lazy L & L RV park down the road it has a beautiful hillside back drop and the river flows around it check it out!
I would much rather see you do Coastal Louisiana and Alabama and Mississippi and Florida and Georgia and the Carolinas. You spent almost no time in those areas you also never go to Tennessee and the Appalachian Mountains.
The check engine light wasn’t bad luck… it was good luck cause it happened before you were out in the middle of nowhere! Safe journey, thx for all the fun content!
I feel like that's the universe saying maybe not mexico. I really have enjoyed the rv series but it seems like it's been nothing but headaches even on the final voyage. Can't wait to see what's next!
You two make such a good team, its part of what makes your videos ao enjoyable. And the raw problems you fave and share with us really does give some insight on what RV life is really like.
my brother and his wife have bicycled down california and then all the way through baja and found the worries people have about it being "dangerous" were pretty unfounded - they loved it and the people there.
Even though the electrical connectors for the radio are “solder less” I usually still heat them up and put a little solder in them to make the connection more durable and also put shrink tubing on them to keep out the water.
Going to miss your Clementine adventures but looking forward to what you have in store for the next chapter in your life. I just know its going to be exciting. Enjoy your last road trip with Clementine. Stay safe 🙏 ❤️
Going to Mexico? Since you'll be in Arizona, drive on down to Organ National Monument and just 15 minutes south you can cross into Mexico at the Sonoyta/Lukeville Port of Entry. From there head straight down to Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco Mexico) 62 miles and enjoy all the RV parks or dry camp at Sandy Beach. You will love it. Right on the Sea of Cortez!! Food is so good there.
FYI; For next year you can get your Texas Vehicle Renewal sticker and pay your registration fees at a H-E-B store, you don't have to go to a Tax Office. You do need cash, debit or Check however as they will not take Credit for Registrations.
@@vickyrun8796 I'm not even sure where to begin, but... 4 trips to the hardware store, (mudflaps should've been a no-brainer when they knew they'd be pulling a car), check online what's needed when it comes to anything regarding DMV etc. Don't get me wrong, I love these 2 but they don't make it easy on themselves.
You two are so smart! Clementine has really given you an education! (electrical, mechanical, carpentry etc) Always fun to watch you guys continue to stay optimistic love your videos! Safe travels see you on the road. ~Cara ❤
Adding to my comment about going into Mexico from Arizona. You take Hwy 85 through Gila Bend west of Phoenix and down through Ajo. Passing through Organ Pipe National Monument. The road takes about one hour to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point). Just follow the signs. It is a very safe and super fun area!
***Please be sure to get EVERY document they say you need. Even the ones they say you MAY not need. There is a couple who van life’s here on TH-cam who had their van taken from them and weeks later they still haven’t been able to get it back.
A friend of mine was rear-ended and the cops showed up and just straight up, took his truck big nice 4 x 4 truck gone. This was in Porto Penasco, also known as Rockypoint. And even if you have everything you need then you’re at the mercy of police looking for bribes and shakedowns. They’ll find something wrong. They’ll make something up. I love Mexico so much, but it is just absolutely not worth it in my opinion.
If your RV is registered in Texas and you're out of state when the registration is due you can pay online and it provides a waiver for inspection until the time you return to the state.
My husband and I just rented e-bikes on a resent trip and had the same experience. Were obsessed!! Not in our budget to purchase our own but we’ll definitely be renting them again and again on all future vacations!
I would re-think Mexico. Those 3 surfers were recently murdered in Baja over their truck. The State Dept travel advisory has a reconsider travel to Baja warning due to increased crime and kidnapping.
You guys make me feel LUCKY! We converted a 7 x 14 trailer -> camper (full electric, mini-split, panels, battery, kitchen, shower, 30gal fresh/grey, dry-flush,... the works) and it's performed with no issues (no leaks, or wiring issues, or equipment failure) BUT we tried to use our 20yrs old existing vehicle for towing and it was one thing after another - the worst was overheating on 6% grade mountain passes when it's >70F outside. So we recently upgraded to 3yr old, much more capable tow vehicle and now we have no problems! We have done about 20 small mods as we tweak things based on camping experiences. Hang in there and thanks so much for sharing you're adventures.
Id like to see you guys go back to places you have been but in the opposite season or different focus . Like you went to Vienna for the Christmas markets, go back in summer. Or just different places - have you been to the Azores?
Well I hate to see you give up but dang I'd LOVE to have that sweet sweet RV!! I'm 51 so ..and she reminds me of the RV my Gma had when we would go to Cave Run to go camping!✌🚐
Good luck you two fearless travelers. Those mud guards ought to keep Ruby looking pretty! Plan your trip carefully, keeping Clementine temperamental nature in mind. Stay safe and have fun!
I can't imagine going to AZ and Mexico in the summer, with the heat.... I wish you the best though, and safe travels! if you ever need it, you can go to [the] Moon Township and/or Mars (both in PA)! 😉
Excellent fix was only 20 minutes and a few hours away....and not suck in the middle of nowhere needing a tow ...after this wishing you both the best adventures yet
We just recently got E-bikes our self! We used to travel with foldable (camping bikes) and would literally ride them everywhere anytime we’d go on a trip. And we recently got Jasion foldable e-bikes and such a game changer! Still easy to travel with and we’re absolutely in love!
Baja California is awesome! I've done it from Arizona to all the way down to cabo 4 times! Can't get lost, it's one highway north and south! Also, there some crazy curves! So many cool stop in between! Thing to know about driving on the highway in mexico even in only 2 lane highways when people want to pass they let you know n you squeeze all the way to right to let them pass, also turning on ur emergency lights to let people know traffic is slowing down up ahead (wish we did this in the u.s.) as well as flashing to let you know there animals up a head! Yes cows! Horses etc O and something breaking down before a road trip... that's going to be on my tombstone 😂😂 ask my bro aka my mechanic to check my suv 2 months ago, i leave tomorrow well he got it this sunday and well well new brakes AND routers needed, charge the a.c. (whatever that is) oil change , new tires (swap them under warranty), o n a rod that hold the tire needs replacement (o it was done once already) and last new shocks (obviously all 4 tires) 😂😂😂😂
Glad to know you've had a great time down there, and thanks for all the tips! Hopefully all those updates on your SUV means your trip will be a super smooth one🤞
There is a Brand NEW mountain and E-Bike park here in Arkansas, at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch! The 'ranch' has some Seriously challenging cliffs you can climb, all kinds of bike trails and you could even kayak the Buffalo National River! The Ranch boasts; The best Rock Climbing and bouldering this side of the Rockies, the longest Zipline in the state, two world class Via Ferratas, And new 17 miles of Mountain and E Biking trails. The ranch was recently bought and renovated by the grandsons of Tom Walton, the founder of Walmart.
You two are great - I love your videos, since I'm a fellow MO RV'r, I'll miss your adventures once you hang your keys up for good but, I'll continue to excitedly look for your next video.
FB Group Camping and RVing in Baja might be a good source. We have friends from Canada that spend a good chunk of their time sailing the waters of Mexico, but they drive their RV from Canada (and back) every season. They have never mentioned any problems.
I want an electric bike so bad. So glad you guys got some. I love the Baja area. So many great RV places along the sea of Cortez. It’s a beautiful drive. Once you get thru the border don’t stop for at least 1-1\2 hour. And also don’t drive at night, the pot holes will take a tire out and there are animals on the roads. As long as you take the precaution you will be fine. There is trouble on the other side of Mexico but honestly that is only 0.01% of the population that are causing the issues. The Mexican people are incredibly friendly and you can never go wrong with the food. Can never eat enough of the fish tacos. Safe travels and can’t wait for the new series to start
LOVE the mud flap. May get one for my bus before I hit the road. .BUT, one problem, my bus is air suspension and if it sits long enough eventually gets closer to the ground which would cause the flap to touch giving insects and who knows what to get in the bus. Gonna have to study the problem.
Even as your time with Clementine winds down you still find things to work on. I'm sure you'll be able to fix the transmission switch... Fingers crossed 😊 Good luck with the upcoming trip.
Lol, your parents are just like ours. We went to Cancún over spring break. They were so nervous about our trip. We had an amazing time, though. Hopefully, you guys will have a great experience, too.
It's probably a failed sensor, rather than anything wrong with Clementine. I used to have this all the time with a car I used to own, the car was just fine, it was the fault sensors that were the problem.
You can import vehicles older than 30 years here in colombia! Might be a fun backup for future south american tours 😮 We now live in Jardin Colombia and Naick and Kim (youtube) are visiting us :)
In Indiana you used to have to go to the bmv in your county but now you can go to any of them throughout the state which is nice if your out of town or something. All states should do this. 😊
Please take precaution.. I know you guys are experienced travelers.. but the unpaved stretches of road so to south Baja can be brutal on the vans I’ve seen go down there. It might be very rough on clementine
Yes, I live in Mexicali! I can be your guide to cross the border and head to San Felipe. Many people from the USA and Canada go through the Mexicali border!

With how often your vehicles break down or need parts shipped, going to Mexico seems risky for that reason alone.
That's what I said too.
Anyone paying attention to current events wouldn’t think for a second about going to Mexico.
I’d think twice about Mexico now!

There are over 100,000 people right now missing in Mexico including tourist from all over the world.

Made the same comment. How do they think they can travel 'safely' there
People are murdered every day in the United States. Mexico isn’t anymore dangerous.
