- In this episode, I first check out Caravanserai Sultan Han, a fascination peek into history when traders stopped over here on their way between Asia en Europe on the Silk Road. Next, I'm headed into Cappadocia, a part of Turkey that I've visited before, but now I'm going to areas I didn't see last time. At the Ihlara valley gorge, I get chased by two big kangal dogs and try to escape via a single trail hugging the mountain and with sheer drops into the gorge..

I did much of this same path by car and foot this October. I recommend a month in Türkiye to anyone with the time. Affordable, friendly, and rich in every way.

The Kangal dogs of Türkiye are an amazing, ancient breed, very loyal and highly regarded for their protective instincts. I always look forward to the drone footage. You are creating a virtual encyclopedia.
LGD are raised with the flock, goats, sheep, to protect the flock from all.

I teared up when she showed the place she was sleeping in and the dinning room and the delicious looking food. How great to see someone fully enjoying themselves on such an epic adventure. Inspiring to say the least. I dream of this life. I'm only about 8 years away from it. My responsibilities keep me from those kind of dreams. But I watch this woman and just love her videos. Türkiye has just so much to see. You could spend months there and still not see all it has to offer. Probably the coolest hotel room ever.
Amazing trip, well done. The dogs were turkish shephard dogs. Here in the UK, we owned a female one. The male dogs are huge, they are used to fight wolves and guard livestock. The breed Anatolian Karabash is not easy to train. My family loved our girl, and we named her Sadie after my mother in law. Love your vlog.❤thank you.

Turkey is really beautiful and the people are STILL very friendly. I know because I was in the kervanserai in 1974 and walked the stairs at 2.50, and the Ihlara canyon in 1992. Turkey changed a lot, the people didn't sit on their asses these 50 years, WOW. Beautiful room and splendid view. JAPAN??? HUH?

The places in the region are the driest places in Turkey. At the same time, autumn is about to end. In other words, it is the worst time. In other words, if you see the regions after May and other provinces, you will like it more.

Additionally, the Celts established their first kingdom in Central Anatolia. The old name of Central Anatolia was Galatia. Probably the name Ankara comes from the Celtic language.

For many years, I went almost annually one or two times to Turkey, especially to Cappadocia and the Aegean coast. However, the beautiful village where you arrived and got stuck with your motorcycle on that incredibly stunning staircase, and then in that amazing hotel carved into the rock-I've never seen or even known of its existence, just like the Cagnon. What envy, what wonderful memories. You are in the heart of human technological development; agriculture began there 12,000 years ago, followed by copper and iron-everything started there! I used to drive from Trieste in Italy to Istanbul in 22 hours, sleep there, and then cross the Bosporus… into the wonderful Turkey, and like you, always alone!

I was on a study trip in Kapadokya several years ago. Entering Kapadokya felt surreal, completely unique. Sleeping in a hotel in a cave with no windows made me panic at first but the sleep was one of the best I've experienced.

Incredible drone footage. The cave dwellings at the gorge, the narrow streets, vestiges of a Roman road, the Caravanserai ... what a treat 👏🌟👏 but again peppered with danger of falling into the gorge and escaping those dogs give a new meaning to adventure travelling🤭

I've started to think to buy a motorcycle in Türkiye in 2022, seeing a nice German lady on her Royal Enfield in Cappadocia. And I said to me: if she can ride alone, why I can't. This was in August 2022. Than in September, I discovered you on TH-cam, and in November I bought a New KTM 890 ADV. Thank you, also!
She is from the Netherlands and so she is Dutch. However, she bought her bike, Frankie in Germany. And it's safe to say she is a cosmopolitan I think. So good you bought yourselves a motorbike, i hope you are making some great travels. Greetz from a Dutch lady.🥰

@@wout123100 I think it's more to do with the fact that there's a lot videos and pics of Istanbul or Antalya, but Noraly taking us into deep country, the path less traveled, opens our eyes to how much more Turkey has to offer, from its people to its landscapes... this is another way of me saying "I really wanna visit!"

What an amazing country! The gorge is gorgeous. I noticed a group of people walking inside the gorge, under the trees, 13:03 (bottom margin). Your Turkish journey reveals a lot about how advanced and powerful the Ottomans and Romans were. One can only imagine what life was like when people lived in those caves carved out of rocks and the ancient cities, which still look pristine. They had to be organized to rule the world like they did.
