I have just the same rack and came across the same issue of rattling on top of the truck, what I’m planning to do is drill 3 or 4 holes in the front fairing and add a metal angle like a rib to add more strength to the fairing and prevent it to vibrate and also I’m thinking in fabricating some brackets to bolt it down into de ditch channel, yeah yeah drilling on the roof not people won’t like but I’ve done it before and I had no problems 😁
I wonder if the rack allows you to adjust more how close the rack is to the truck? maybe slide forward a bit so the curve on the door frame forces the rack down a bit more?
@@jmcastaneda1974 Good observation. I think the chance is really small since I already had the back lined up and rack pulled down. Honestly, I don't really mind that weather strip on there. After installing my light bar and cell booster, you can barely notice it.

@@pipapan73 So what I did with the bracket is I added a shim ( rubber pice ) so it would clamp down better and snug against the edge of the roof.
